Since the beginning of this event, I have spent hours travelling across New Eden in search of Dark Blood Gauntlets and Tetrimon Frontline Bases. I have searched region after region, crossed dangerous routes, travelled through Nullsec to reach remote areas, and checked countless Lowsec systems.
At this point, I have to ask a simple question: is this event actually spawning its advertised content across Lowsec as intended, or is there a problem with the distribution?
Regions and areas I have checked
My search has included Lowsec systems across the following regions:
-
Derelik
-
Devoid
-
Domain
-
The Bleak Lands
-
Sinq Laison
-
Verge Vendor
-
Khanid
-
Heimatar
-
Metropolis
-
Caldari Lowsec
-
Genesis
-
Essence
-
Molden Heath
-
Solitude
I have travelled extensively through these areas and spent hours looking for the event sites.
In Genesis, I found only ordinary, low-level sites similar to those commonly encountered in Highsec, rather than the event sites I was looking for. In Essence, I checked Lowsec without finding the targeted event sites. I also travelled to Solitude, a remote region that requires a journey through Nullsec, and found nothing there either.
The only constellations where I have consistently found the sites I am looking for are Eugidi and Essin.
I am not claiming that these sites can never spawn anywhere else. I am reporting what I have actually observed after extensive searching across multiple regions.
The distribution makes the event unnecessarily frustrating
The current situation appears to concentrate players searching for this content into a very small area.
When players have to travel across multiple regions for hours and still cannot find the advertised sites, they naturally gravitate towards the few locations where those sites are known to appear. This creates heavy competition, with organised fleets and multiboxers competing for the same limited content.
I have personally spent around three hours searching for a single site, only to encounter a fleet of multiboxers flying Gilas and other ships that forced me away from the area.
To be clear, the problem is not that other players are using multiboxing, flying expensive ships, or engaging in PvP. These are legitimate parts of EVE Online. The problem is that the apparent concentration of event content pushes everyone towards the same locations and makes access to that content unnecessarily frustrating.
I am willing to travel, take risks, fight other players, and lose ships. That is EVE. What I do not expect is to spend most of my playtime searching for content that I cannot reasonably locate.
The support responses have not answered the question
I have already contacted CCP support about this issue and received explanations that the sites spawn dynamically.
One response stated that Dark Blood Gauntlets and Tetrimon Frontline Bases were associated with Blood Raider Lowsec and Delve, and suggested submitting a bug report. However, I have also encountered these sites in Aset, in the Metropolis region, which makes the explanation I received difficult to reconcile with my observations.
Another response explained that discovering game mechanics through trial and error is part of the intended experience, and that GMs cannot provide information that is not available in official communications.
I understand that CCP does not need to reveal every detail of its spawning mechanics. I am not asking for exact spawn timers, hidden formulas, or guaranteed access to valuable sites.
I am asking whether the event is functioning as intended.
Repeating that spawns are dynamic does not answer why, after searching so many different regions, I have found the targeted sites concentrated in just two constellations.
If this distribution is intentional, please explain the intended regional restrictions and how players are expected to find these sites elsewhere. If it is not intentional, please investigate and correct it.
What I am asking CCP to do
-
Investigate the actual spawn distribution of Dark Blood Gauntlets and Tetrimon Frontline Bases across Lowsec on Tranquility.
-
Confirm whether the concentration in Eugidi and Essin is intentional.
-
Check for possible spawning or distribution issues if the sites are supposed to be available more broadly.
-
Clarify the intended mechanics so players can understand where this event content is actually meant to appear.
-
Provide a substantive response that addresses the observed distribution, rather than simply stating that sites spawn dynamically.
Final thoughts
I play EVE Online because I enjoy the game. I want to participate in the event, explore, take risks, and compete with other players.
Instead, I have spent hours travelling through Lowsec, checking region after region, crossing Nullsec to reach remote destinations, and repeatedly finding no relevant event content. When I finally reach areas where the sites appear to be available, competition can be so intense that I am forced to leave without completing the content I came for.
This is not a request to make EVE safer or to remove competition. It is a request for an event whose content is reasonably discoverable and whose distribution works as intended.
I have already created multiple forum threads because I genuinely want this issue investigated. I have also provided feedback through support tickets. I am documenting my findings because I want a clear answer, not because I expect free rewards or special treatment.
CCP, please investigate the actual data and tell us whether this distribution is intentional. If it is, explain the design. If it is not, fix it.
Players should not have to turn an event into a multi-region investigative expedition just to find out whether its content exists where it is supposed to.
