I’d like to share some thoughts about this event. It’s been more than two weeks since it started, and honestly, I’m not happy with how it’s going.
An event should feel like a celebration for the players, especially when we only get one every few months. The rest of the time, we’re left with exploration and grinding billions of ISK to buy ships in nullsec and elsewhere across New Eden.
Right now, this event feels like a nightmare. High-sec drops are practically nonexistent, there are too few sites, and the spawn rate is far too low. I flew through several lowsec regions for two days and couldn’t find sites like Blood Gauntlets or the T3 sites for T3 cruisers. They’re simply too rare.
So I’m asking one of the CMs to pass this feedback on to CCP and request a higher spawn rate. I’d also like the scramming and tackling rats removed from the Dark Blood Gauntlet. The reward simply doesn’t justify the risk.
The site spawns should also be divided by security space, because right now the distribution is a complete mess. High-sec should have T1 and T2 sites, Crimson Gauntlets, and the basic bases. Lowsec should have T3 sites, the better bases, and Dark Blood Gauntlets. And the loot in lowsec needs to be improved, because the risk we take there is far too high for the rewards we get.
Eugidi, Angils, and Essin in lowsec. I’ve seen you there (I think…) so you must have hacked the better sites too (sig level IV and name ends in Hub). The spawn rate does indeed seem to be very poor, maybe worse than in previous years.
In nullsec, the special constellations are XPJ1-6 and 6-UCYU. I haven’t tried them this year, but I remember having a good time last year.
I did about 25 jumps in the LS today—various constellations and so on—and there’s nothing there. There are HS sites that shouldn’t be there, 0 Dark Blood Gauntlets, T3 sites—nothing. How am I supposed to have fun and do the event if, after 25 jumps in the LS, there’s nothing—absolutely nothing for me!
