Ok, been running for some high sec CH2026 events and got a feedback:
Pirate side is much more harder
Tetrimon events are much harder - they use missle ewar, hunt your drones (with insta-locking them) and do not have any form of bounty on them. Make both sides equal and rewarding since there’s no penalty on kicking amarr arse. Loot from regular NPCs sux. NPCs are some kind of damage sponges.
C2 on T1 Destroyer is almost impossible to complete alone, waves are muuuuch faster than C1
“guest” npc warp-in adds a little hot spice to the event, but don’t let them warp-scramble you otherwise they might jam player in pocket
Allow to preview reward tracks
Allow to preview or post rewards for items purchased by event currency
Thats my thoughts on the event, feel free to criticise and call me a noob
I would like to participate in the event and run some of the combat sites, but this is not possible in sov null sec. Well, crimson harvest might be the next event after the capsuleer day XXIII event, which i have to skip, although i don*t want to. Disapppinted.
And i have the feeling that the winter nexus might be the 3rd event to skip. If i remember the distribution of the event pockets correctly from the last two years and have a look at the ansiblex changes, the now necessary travel times to get to the event sites might kill it for me.
Some random thoughts:
• The “Criterion of Fitness” sites are fun, but not 400m for the Cipher “fun” (that was the last price in Jita). Pretty sure I didn’t get anywhere close to the 200m I paid for the Cipher back in loot…
• It’s going go take forever and a day to finish this event. Again. Mainly due to lack of sites. I sat in 5 empty systems for around an hour and had one Crimson Gauntlet/Tetrimon Base spawn. You can find Criterion of Fitness sites all over - but no one has the ciphers (or can afford them).
• There’s a second (expansion) phase of this event, too.
• No idea what the spawn rate for data sites is but I imagine it’s probably the same.
I was honestly scanning yesterday for an hour or so and got similar to regular scanning loot value. Maybe bit bigger.
It has those weird “blood cans” which had zero isk value. I assume players should trade them for smth.. but again - there is no info on the exchange ratios and trade goods. I wish they could include this information in AGENCY to help undestand players what they are actually getting and where to use all these items.
Event is total crap. Doing it since yesterday and made maybe 200 mill overall. C1/C2 are more rare in highsec than tetrimon sites. And Tetrimonsites are so hard that even gila or other t2 cruisers struggle huge. Where is the point for getting some bad loot but risking couple hundred of millions in a ship. Such “base” sites should be doable in a well fittet battlecruiser and not commandshipds or even maurauders where you dont know should you pay more attention to the site or to the gankers that will hunt you down. And finding a scannersite is more luck than finding a ded 4/10 in highsec. If i would not want some of the triglavian skins i would ignore this event.
My freighter alt with trash weapon skills has no problem running these with a base Thrasher
Split guns in two groups so you can shoot 2 ventures at once with little overkill. Use Hail for the Nullprime squall, Barrage otherwise.
