It is exactly what you have implied with your dishonest presentation and statement that ’ It definitely doesn’t apply to…etc’. There is no other way to read it.
It’s precisely what you are saying when you present ‘the numbers’ and then rule out faction war, NPCs, etc etc. You yourself never present some other explanation that is not ganking.
It’s the usual dishonest forum arguing. Present stuff that clearly implies something and then spend 300 posts worth of ’ oh nooo…that’s not what I was saying’. Yeah…right.
and this was clearly in relation of the first post that ppl leave because ganking !
now you come up with :
sure i dont talk about all this stuff because it was never part of anyones post !
it was all about "ppl leave because of ganking "
then you also said that Hilmar had in his presentation of 2019 denied that rise was right … and where are the numbers who tell us that rise was totaly wrong ? nobody gave us ! hilmar didnt tell this ! its only in your mind that you think that hilmar said rise was wrong but !
so all your words are nonsense and completly wrong ! i dont believe anyone like you who only wants to talk his opinion but refuse the hard facts that CCP collects and make it public !
EDIT: and after all youre only way to come out of this “discussion” was to critism my grammar ? my grammar with english as second language ?
how your grammar would be if i you would write german … ( or any other second language )
EDIT 2:
btw … you dont follow the main point aswell the main point of this thread is
He’s making a point that is totally correct. I’d have left Eve from boredom had I not been ganked ( actually 6 weeks into the game ). The revenge thing kept me in the game long enough after that to lose interest in the revenge but gain more interest in the game. I can say from my own experience that the statement by CCP is 100% correct. It is precisely what happens.
Lol… I make it an average of 4.8 hours a day over 817 days. And you don’t get my total of 520 kills ( across my most active accounts ) and 20 losses by sitting in dock.
He’s conflating two entirely separate things. One of the oldest tricks on the forum. The fact that 90% of new players left within the first week was nowhere connected with any stats about the numbers ganked within the first 15 days, which was this chart which I notice no-one ever seems to display here ( I wonder why )…
The numbers are legit, but what most people don’t know/get about them is that they’re perfectly in line with the video game industry for games as a whole. It’s not that EVE is doing exceptionally bad, it’s that long-term (30-day-plus) retention rates of above 2% are exceptionally rare, in general.
It has nothing to do with the “evil griefer sociopaths” or whatever. CCP can remove all non-consensual PvP from the game tomorrow, and even if that results in a bigger player base, the retention rate is still going to be similar.
When I first installed eve in 2008 or whenever it was, I was horribly shocked by the fact I cannot control my ship with a joystick and it instantly made the game unattractive to me because my expectations were way off x)
he postet the YT video and it was in the first few mins … yes i could have post this chart … maybe a mistake because i thought that hes knowing this facts …
and he IS knowing this facts but he said said:
yeah this was very similar to me as i tryed it about 2005 … i played about 2 min and then i realised its not a game where i can fly my spaceship like in elite dangerous or any similar … i instantly deletet it and then i remembered about this game in 2012 and take closer look into it ! and what i saw was great !
Those are from the NPE tutorial, it’s set up to introduce players to the NES and in the future hopefully buy other skins.
In order to actually complete that section of the NPE tutorial, you’re suppose to activate the skin and apply it to the Destroyer you received in the NPE.
I’ve completed the old (or is it the old old by now ) NPE tutorial back then so I wonder. If I don’t forget to do it then I’ll check the NES next time I sign in.
And if yes then there is only one course of action to take: I guess I will have to use them on a catalyst I gank @Iceacid_Frostpacker with, this is clearly CCP’s intention with all this, there is no other explanation.
Maybe don’t even have to gank him, I’ve heard he has an active public killright on his head right now.
Yeah, I had also completed the tutorial after CCP implemented it with the AIR program. Back then you could only choose 1 of the 3 different T1 Destroyer skins for 1 Plex to complete that section of the tutorial…
Anyway, earlier today I logged into the game to collect my Vanguard Capsule skin reward from the NES and saw those 1 Plex Destroyer skins were available, course only 2 of the 3 skins were available for me to purchase since I had already bought 1 while doing the NPE.
