Do you not realize that Delve is chalk full of Recons. Goons have an entire squad dedicated to Recon pilots, and not just crap Recon frigs. T2 ships are build by the 100s in Delve and the guys building them have no issue with selling hem for cost to a few guys who are willing to sit back-up cynos on a titan and the guys running 1-3 cyno alts in mining/ratting systems. This does nothing to hinder Delve, rather the opposite, but keep thinking that Delve is vulnerable, as it will make farming the hot drops even more hilarious.
This is a good. No one likes to have their routine changed but itās good every once in a while. Just adapt and take on the new challenges with determination and optimism. Youāll have it down to a science in no time.
That is exactly what I want to know. Itās time they feel some CCP Fkucery. Share the Chaos with all, CCP.
Itās happened already. Months and months ago. Null sec is the last to get hit.
Yeah just a little hilarious that CCP are getting ābalanceā changes ideas from reddit on how to make it more dangerous to rat and mine in null sec from the same people that wouldnāt let there own memberās rat or mine unless they were in a renter corp because it was to dangerous to their killboards. And then after nearly half a decade of refusing to actually put in the man hours to build the strength of their empire just go and cry to CCP on reddit because they are not a super power anymore.
Then there is the rest of null sec that has been working there ass off to build their empires that are not complaining about ship balance because they know none of the ships in eve are alliance locked all though you would think this is the case if you read reddit.
Meanwhile CCP is talking about getting more fights in null sec ignoring the fact that the only groups in null sec that actually take fights are the alliances that are ratting and mining to fuel their war machines.
Lets look at the wars that were going on before the drifter nonsense.
One war was between Test and Frat both of these alliances rat and mine quite heavy Iām pretty sure neither of them enjoy doing it but its a means to an end. This war had everything you talk about what you want in the game continual fighting and actual combat between fleets of combat ships.
The other war which I was in was between Imperium and Pamfam and you have one side that puts in hard work to build their war machine and one side that are absolutely toxic to their members that actually want to rat and mine to build their war machine. Now risk aversion is the focus of all these changes what happened in this war? Pamfam just ran to the hills the only Corp from Pamfam that actually took a few fights was Pandemic Horde which once again is the main ratting/minning grp in their alliance.
And Ignoring the alliance models that take fight and the ones that donāt lets look at the next issue the changes are addressing the bots. Hereās where the changes have actually worked in the sense of at least moving bot out of null sec to their new home of faction warfare. This is a good change and continue the good work and get them out of faction warfare to maybe make local not visible why they are in the capture nodās seems there programming it reliant on it.
But just giving the heads up that the same people that have been complaining about risk aversion and investing time into building alliance assets are same people that have been profiting off their botting rental empires for years and now they have lost their income the whole game needs to change to support their play style again āRisk Aversionā.
Maybe look at why the big blocks are so powerful is it not all eve players only enjoy the free kills but they actually enjoy the real fights more then looking at their kill boards. The fact that they are actually logged into the ratting and mining instead of playing some other game if there are no fights lined up. The communities are actually not as toxic and they actually love helping their new players.
So why is CCP is like but we want small gang pvp to be the meta, its not like you canāt small gang pvp in EVE Online you just have to use brain a bit like if I wanted a small gang fight I might considering avoiding the most player dense systems in null sec like the logic a 5 year old could come up with. But not our Eve Reddit community they want to small gang pvp in there and then cry on Reddit that small gang pvp is broken because they decided the best place to do it was in the middle of a couple of thousand player alliance.
The the same sort of players complain that their 30 players commiting about 1 Billion isk between them canāt kill a 30 Billion isk super that has backup ready and waiting. Not like subcaps cant kill capitals you just need to commit real ships to the fight and accept the fact that you are going to lose a lot of them while doing it and you will take loses on your killboards. CCP gave you Leshaks use them and if you canāt afford to lose them then hereās an idea maybe rat and mine instead of spending that time complaining on reddit and in time you may actually become Viable again.
And just to finish with the solution to capital ships that was implemented by the old devās of eve that put time and effort into game design. If you donāt like fighting capitals there was a special place in eve designed specifically for that where you will never have to deal with, build or fly them āHigh Secā
CAPITAL BALANCE SOLVED invest time and get your own which surely cant be that hard when your flying 2Bil lokis to kill Domis or Take your tears to āHigh Secā until youāve actually stamina to take a real fight
And sorry Falcon_Starwalker this comment wasnāt actually in response you forgot what I was responding to and ended up SPERGING
Look at Zkill, see where these lete PVPārs are concentrating their time.
Look at DotLan, see where activity has all but come to s standstill.
Regions of space pretty much deserted - Are these players ALL moving to highsec, or are they just not logging in.
Prime time Thursday - Keepstar in Provi, usually has between 50 and 100 inside. Thursday just gone, there were four players docked and absolutely nothing in space 5 people with combats could find.
Casuals (who pay the same subs as everyone esle) just arenāt logging in. Adapting isnāt just a matter of āhit Dscanā or ādonāt do dumbā.
If you donāt have the backing of a well organised group behind you - Adapting means, Join a Bloc, move out of your home, stop playing.
One can only hope more people do just that. Even the busiest regions of space like Delve now have a ton of systems that are completely deserted. Only organized locust fleets keep the indexes up ā¦ which makes it not only hard to engage the ratters but it also keeps ADMs up easily and thus makes sov attacks unfeasible. Good work.
@CCP_Rise The only issue in terms of logistics problems this change will cause and not been addressed is the fact that Rorquals also serve as the āpoor manāsā logistics platform for moving around their industrial ships and related cargos. Perhaps some consideration about allowing the Rorqual to also be able to jump to covert cynos given a look at. If the concern is that Rorquals will become the new cyno win button. One way to address this concern is to require the ship to only be fitted with non-offensive mods in all slots to enable the option to jump to a covert cyno as an option. One could also require the fitting of either cargo expander(s) and/or jump drive econimizer(s) in order to both assure covert cyno jumping serves logistics purposes mostly and hinders penalizes somewhat any other unintended use of allowing it to jump to covert cynos. One could also take the added step of requiring no offensive drones to be in the drone bay while covert cyno jumping as well, thus assuring that direct offensive use of being able to covert cyno jump is not abused outside of enabling logistics work. It would otherwise only be able to jump to a normal cyno if combat fitted just like any other capital will based on the proposed changes.
Edit: Thanks to feedback from twitch chat. Iād also like to add the need to restrict any form of remote assistance mods while being able to covert cyno jump. The one way I see now is to create a new mod that entirely restricts certain other mods from being fitted, but enables covert cyno jump in a Rorqual. This way any changes to the restricted mods list can just be done to this single mod.
Seriously?? now Iām not a fan of the changes but this is not even close to accurate, Fountain has taken a hit yes but try to find a ratting or mining anomaly that isnāt being used that is under the umbrela
So many tears!
Another great change for New Eden.
Keep up the good work CCP ā¢
Should be able to fit a cyno to a titanā¦ It can bridge, jump, and have a Phenomena Generatorā¦ makes no sense you canāt fit a cyno.
Eve Bombers Online
Of course not accurate.
Shooting cyno frigs on low sec stations is not that much fun, is it?
Just take a look at that:
It has to be wondered, CCP canāt be so blind as to not see this as the likely outcome as we do, and if so, why would they want fewer, larger blocks?
EVE has set records for raw player count space battles and for certain it looks good in the media. What isnāt talked about in those same pieces is how not fun it is to eat the TiDi soup. When there is enough time to walk 10 minutes down the road to the pub, drink a pint, walk back and still be there in time to cycle guns again, thereās a problem.
Even if/when CCP starts deploying a new engine that can handle 10k player fights, is it really going to be that much more fun for the average vigil pilot, or macharial Congo Line?
Letās wait for the August MER - should be interesting (blackout)
Itā'l be a few more months before this impact can be measured thoughā¦
Oh, can I get back all the SP spent on Cyno Alts which are no longer capable of doing the job they were trained to do
Then we will have to wait for one that will be released in September (that covers August). The one to be released Soonā¢-ish wont show much - half a month worth of BO with with players trying to wait it out.
