Hello everyone! I had recently contacted support, and they encouraged me to suggest this idea! What if for our character profile icons, we could fully customize them with our own designs and pictures? In my opinion it would be really cool to see the designs people would come up with! You can already customize your character portrait to a certain point… There’s a lot of different Apparel items available and with the various lighting, background and character pose options, you can easily create some very unique character portraits…

Thank you for replying, I am aware of the current character customization, my idea was the ability to include characters and/or pictures/designs that are not game-specific. An example of this would be (This is not my idea) someone maybe wanting to include a touch of anime into their character portrait.

No. This is EVE Online, not Little Mermaid 3.0. It’s a continuous universe and shouldn’t have random content appear in-game that doesn’t have anything to do with the game.
You want random nonsense on your portrait? – Do it and keep it out of the game. Nobody else wants to see your BS.

I think the game looks a lot more coherent and better with a single art style instead of a mess where everyone can bring in whatever.
Players get a lot of freedom for their characters, try playing some more with those portrait settings! As DeMichael Crimson already said there are lots of different apparel items you can find on the market in the game. The game’s vast item economy includes many character customization options you can use those to make your character stand out and look unique.
Outside of the game, like in your corporation’s discord or whatever external tool you use to communicate with your group you probably have plenty of freedom to pick your own (anime) picture.
However within the game itself the EVE universe looks a lot better, more coherent and more real if people can tell by seeing your face that you have a Gallente background, or that miss Ponytail above me hails from the Amarr empire.

I don’t think you are going to get that here. On top of making fun of anime profile pictures, there’s a valid point that you just do not need to moderate character models.
All I got out of it was tails hanging out of someplace unmentionable.
