She has stated this more than once…and if serious…i think its a great idea. Its pretty obvious that nobody else is speaking up or anybody listening.

Who reads Reddit? I seriously went there once to join a topic and got nothing but toxic salt.
The last time I got any attention from a game developer was years ago. When they made large scale changes to the game I loved for real bad ideas, I found the corporate phone number and placed a call. I know what got them real bothered, was calling them at home, after supper time. I didn’t plan it that way, the number I was given by a new intern was their home phone number. Did I get his attention? Yes I did! They still went with the bad ideas and wanted to know who gave me his home number. I never did snitch on the intern.

I do…many people do. If you found it toxic as soon as you got there, then that means you looked for it…and you found it. Reddit has many many helpful topics on its sub reddits on this game.
You already know youre on the internet…the biggest sea of douchebaggery ever in existence. You should already know that youre going to run into trash. Sweep the trash away and find the good folks there. Trust me, they are there.
At the very least, they should give us a preview that matches the actual frame.
The cropping is inconsistent and has different sizes that I’ve seen.
So a preview would be impractical.
I much prefer removal of cropping though, I still don’t see the point of it.
Isn’t it much easier to just show the full image players made?

Have you contacted the CSM? I tried, but as always they just ignore me and pretend “We are working so hard and talk to CCP every day.”
I thought bringing it up to the ‘CSM-topics’ in discord yesterday to get their attention, but haven’t had any CSM respond yet.
Maybe they pay as little attention there as they do to the forums? I don’t know, I usually stay away from discord.
In my experience, political positions generally attract people who campaign for vanity reasons, but they are not actually dedicated to discussing the issues. Which is why we are here discussing a concern, whereas they are off being proud to be a CSM. CCP really needs to stop treating the CSM as an elective position, and instead focus on identifying active players who have meaningful input. As it is, the CSM is a not a focus group, it is merely a ‘look at me’ club.

Bumping.
This is an important issue. I’ve spent more time than usual framing all my characters (the slight off-centering, the tasteful background-foreground contrast) and hate to have some unknown unpaid spaghetti monster doing the post production cropping.
At first I thought it was a new feature that people can crop their portraits to non standard ratios and I was excited. But the reality being what has been so eloquently described in this threat leaves me shocked and honestly disappointed.
CSM and FCCCPlease stop killing the last remnants of unmonetised self expression in this game.

‘Character Sheet’ and ‘Character Info’ window are two different things. Character sheet portrait is not the problem. I didn’t even know that there was any overlap between it and ‘‘window controls’’. Whatever those are.
And what the hell is a ‘status icon’?
