Cluster shutdown simple rule

For example: “Cluster shutdown while in Abyss: and you loose the filament…”

I’m not responsible for your maintanance services, so I don’t understand why I have to pay for your disservice.

JUST PUT A SIMPLE RULE IN CASE OF THE SHUTDOWN: ANY ACTION STARTED FROM THE MOMENT WITCH YOU WHERE SHUTTING DOWN THE SERVERS COME BACK TO THE ORIGINAL STARTING SITUATION OF WHEN ALL IS STARTED. ( if there was 2 or more players involved in this situation they will end up in a random safe spot ).

Alway spend your time on these forums when it is close to shutdown.

You get quite a few notifications, you also know exactly when it happens as it always happens at the exact same time. Up to you to use that information and figure out if starting something like a new Abyssal run is a good idea or not. Blame yourself because it was your choice to do it, stop offloading your own failures onto others.

Your OP is ridiculous. Trying to save the status of every player’s action that might cross into downtime, plus the potential abuses available to anyone who wanted a “reset” from anything that went wrong, is pure foolishness.

Abyssals are already set up so if you do things correctly, you get a decent payout. And if you miscalculate, you pay the price.

You thought you could squeeze in one more Abyssal before downtime for one more payout. You miscalculated, and paid the price.

Working as intended. CCP doesn’t need to program in a safety feature to save you from your own mistakes.

Dont run an Abyssal site close to DT, problem solved.

I don’t get what the problem is, you don’t lose your ship if the cluster shuts down while running the abyss. In fact, it is one of the best ways to potentially generate a safe far from any celestials or warp paths.

If I wanna create good safe in a new system, I pop a tranquil filament a couple minutes prior to downtime and wait for the cluster to shutdown, when I relog after downtime, I’m usually placed in an excellent safe spot.

First alert is an hour before shutdown.

Thats at least 2 if not 3 whole krabbing sessions.

While downtime is indeed a server shutdown, not every shutdown is at downtime.

When he says “JUST PUT A SIMPLE RULE IN CASE OF THE SHUTDOWN”, it seems he’s not referring to DT. Maybe pull that stick out of your collective asses long enough to have him clarify before starting the circle jerk of manufactured forum rage.

Carry on.

OP posted this just after DT.

But what if I play this game for the sole reason of grinding as much ISK as possible? Every second counts.

I don’t know OP… Cluster shutdown has been the same time for many years to my knowledge. At least the past 5.

Always 11:00 UTC

This feels like a troll post. But again #personal responsibility. I hate spoonfeeding info to clearly experienced players who know the 101s of EVE.

This thread should be locked as nothing of constructive value is being proposed by OP.

Op sounds like somebody that walks into a restaurant 1 minute before they close demanding he has a sit down dinner.
