I mentioned Incomplete Warden Projections in this post, and since discovering that it’s possible to open a backdoor to the Warden using Warden Connection Harmonics via the hyperspace connections network passing through the Warden, I think it’s possible that these projections could map links between the Warden and Trustbreakers and Relay-Chainers, and could allow the Drifters to detect and destroy them. It seems that all these connections, along with those of the Atavums and those used to study hyperspace telemetry to predict the Drifters’ actions, form a large network that could be reminiscent of the FTL communications network forming the GalNet, but using more advanced technology.
As the Drifters appear to be survivors of the Second Empire’s collapse, it is likely that their knowledge of the location of ancient Jovian structures could be incomplete, and perhaps their access to an ancient information network could be useful to them in detecting other ancient and lost Jovian structures and relics that could be useful to their goals. If this is the case, perhaps the Circle’s objective in occupying the Warden is the same. Perhaps the Warden is a major hub of this network and may be the largest known one, which could make it of great importance to those who wish to gain access to this network.
Perhaps the research done by the participants in the Race for the Hives concerns this network, or will allow reliable access to it.
