CODE. Bowheads are useless in Hisec

What you do is buy multiple Bowheads and place them either side of the main choke points, then all you do is bring your ships in individually though the camped choke points and into the next Bowhead in the chain.

Most gankers have scouts two or three systems out from the main choke points and market hubs, after that it is fairly easy to avoid these people as they are rather lazy. The question is however how lazy do you want to be.

Yeah bumping is an absolute shite mechanic, but CCP like to give advantages to some players so you have to adjust for it.

And if you are running Incursions well you can easily afford it.

Don’t put out information like that, if the enemy knows your tactics they will bring 11 talos next time, it amazes me how many people beat their chests without realizing how they leave themselves open.

There is vast difeference between ‘enemy’ and ‘****** suicide gankers’

Allow me to correct you:
"There is a vast difference between ‘enemy’ and ******* suicide ganker’ "

I mean sure, there are more than 11 reds than just that, but the odds of every single one of them being a different person with the last name “Kusion” is very very slim.

i’ve hired trusted Bowie pilot who hauls for me my ships. He is experienced enough not to be ganked.

Good luck.

Actually the Kusion guy is known for being one person with a very nice multi-computer multi-screen rig that can control all of those.

Anyway, there are extra options:

  • Buy 4x of your 3 bling ships, for a total of 12 bling ships, and set up 4 different bases for incursions that you can just clone-jump to. No Uedama, and a lot less Bowhead-flyin.

  • As suggested above, buy Bowheads and leave them around Uedama, so you can reship from one Bowhead to another once you’re past the Uedama camps.

  • Out of your incursion loots / bounties / payments, pay some of that to some mercs or friends to escort your Bowhead with remote-repair ships.

  • Out of your incursion profits, pay the cost of the ship rigs, and otherwise repack your ships and use courier contracts / freighters to ship them to where you need them.

  • Use an alt to attack one of the gankers and bring Concord to the gate, so that Concord is there and ready to react when your Bowhead passes through.

EVE Online is a MMO - bring a friend who doesn’t mind rotting out their brain cells in boredom !

Pro-tip, check the fits on all the Bowheads that go pop, then check the war status on the ones that don’t fit the pattern.

There are only two types of Bowheads that die in Highsec with any regularity. War-dec’d ones that should never have undocked, and fail-fit ones that got lazy, took a risk, and paid for it.

Bowheads should never fly solo.

Tried an incursion today, man I suck, couldn’t hit anything, even webbing it did no good, had a tracking computer, etc, they (sansha ships), flew in circles laughing at me.

Another CODE. shill thread.

I use my Bowhead all the time btw. Then again I have a mining permit for it. I can only recommend it, it is such a great investment, only 10mil ISK per year.

And, thanks to inflation, cheaper than its ever been!

Can’t believe it still only costs 10m!

You can have my permit for free. :kissing_heart:

Now that would be awesome trolling opportunity for alpha clones in dirt cheap rokie ships, ruinning some douchebags day

We know: goons do not attack alts of goons.

So yeah, mining permit totally helps

Auto piloting at all in expensive ships is stupidity 101, and anyone doing that absolutely deserves to be ganked.

Not really. They have contingency alts for moving Concord away from the gates. Because they often see a situation where they gank something juicy, and while Concord is on site because of that, something else even more juicy comes along. So they have “move Concord away” contingencies.

or just courier the fit ship, might want to strip the shiny mods to keep the collateral reasonable.

I just looked and the last few were tank fit with MWDs. although their values were a big high. Most of the time when I look most of the ganks are on poorly fitted ones though.

And as said they only do 1-2 ganks a day, so that is a lot of bowheads making it through without getting ganked.

I personally thought the Bowhead was one of the best Large transports ships out there (next to the Orca).

It rocks a big tank and can do so will still getting near max cargo, warps in 10 seconds (same applies for the Orca). While Normal freighters have a horrible align time and you have to choose cargo vs tank.

PS, Incursions ships are just about as cheap as they ahve ever been, if you went back 3-4 years DS mods where a lot more expensive. (Pith A-type Invul used to be 2 Bil)
