UPDATE 11:15 UTC: Tranquility is online and accepting connections.
There will be an extended downtime on Tuesday, March 22 while we conduct some routine tests on Tranquility before bringing the cluster back online. We anticipate work will be completed no later than 11:30 UTC and TQ will be back online earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.
We don’t anticipate any side effects or other issues like we experienced last week.
Updates will be posted here and on the EVE Status Twitter account.
As a victim of Escape from Tarkov, I find this community’s bitching about a 30 min downtime… cute. It’s like moving from the war zones of the Chicago area to a quaint little town in the hills where the biggest talk of the town is just gossip and complaining over slight inconveniences. Never change, guys. CCP has monetized the integrity out of this game, they deserve to be ■■■■ on regardless. <3
You’re completely misunderstanding the bitching. It’s not about the 30 minute outage, it’s about the repeated behaviours that drive events like this 30 minute outage.
I like how most respondents here sound like people who have never experienced performing maintenance on giant server clusters running complex software and how easily things can go wrong.
the people who are bitching about the DT they want to play but they don’t want to take a break and see real life.
you should thank ccp for making sure that everything works and not fucks up their gameplay.
As a Network Administrator i know there is definitely a need to do a Downtime from time to time.
and if some people don’t know that ccp usually patches some issues in the DT Now you know.
So now Go outside and enjoy nature while there is DT you addict
