I feel like I’ve been slapped in the face by a wet fish…
-20% to resists… ok fine
-50% bonus to plates on my favorite ship… OH COME ON
MASSIVE fax nerf… REALLY
My Detta is by far the most expensive thing I own and my favorite ship in the game and now its like a wet noodle compared to what it was 6 months ago
For the record I’m not one of the people who drops supers on anything that moves, I find that very unsporting and part of the reason stuff like this happens
“Eve is dying” < yep its been doing this for 15 years according to some sources…, and it’s still here
As for “This patch is making the old guard leave and killing us” I simply say this. Given i have been around since the great war. The issue that CCP are, rightfully, trying to address is the proliferation of supers to make what is supposed to be the most deadly space in eve online dangerous again.
In my mind the shift to having 2 separate states of war (Cap and subcap) is perfectly reasonable if implemented correctly. There is no conflict in eve anymore and this is in part due to super umbrellas and blue donuts.
Take a recent example, the TAPI keepstar in perimeter…, why have both panfam and/or goons not blown that up yet to stop TAPI from gaining all that income? Answer: Because a deal was struck where all the major blocks simply get a cut of the profits.
Eve needs conflict to drive it’s player based markets and so on, and I think we can all agree there is very little conflict going on, just a whole lot of crabbing under super unbrellas. Give CCP a break and if the idea of a PvP sandbox MMO offends you, then you are right to leave. I think the standard response in Guild Wars II?
Ahh I agree with you on most of that however I would say that supercap proliferation is not the cause for the lack of fighting its just another symptome of the bigger problem that is the huge coalitions (Imperium/ Legacy/ PanFam) Just look at Tribute and Vale now that PanFam have moved, theres a bunch of smaller groups fighting all the time, lots of map changes and its even a good place to find a bit of solo/small gang without getting blobed to death by anything sub of super.
Your likely right, I honestly thought the null sec blackout was a good way to go. Maybe even introduce a new building for systems/regions or an upgrade to the Ihub that you have to put in and maintain which will allow local chat in that system/region. and everywhere that does not have this is blackout set. Such a thing would provide a huge isk sink to null if fuel and such were needed, plus on the fringes of controlled space you would still find lawlessness
Oh hell yes bring back black out, I do a bit of mining so I was a bit worried about black out but after a few days I realized that it was actually awesome 1. it stopped a lot of botting 2. it made krabs need to get better and pay more attention and 3. it meant hunters had to work a bit harder and get better.
People made out like it was just a massive nerf to krabbing and thats it but it made PVP and hunting harder as well and I loved it all
