When I was young, downtime lasted at least 1 hour. And it was uphill both ways to the EVE launcher.

Donāt try to argue with people like that, itās futile. People like that are the reason why CCP keeps doing that kind of irregular stuff.
However, they are making progress. At least we now geet a nice ingame notification about it as well. Another tiny step into the right direction.

Btw confusing communicationā¦ This thread says 15 minutes downtime, but the in-game notification and EVE Status say 30 minutes.
What is it gonna be?
