[Completed] Planned Extended Downtime - August 1st 11:00 until 11:30 UTC

There will be a planned extended downtime today. We expect the downtime to last until 11:30 UTC. The ESI will also be taken offline from 10:55 and expect to resume at 11:30.

The reason for the extended downtime is general maintenance on various databases.

Please push this to the launcher ahead of DT, not after the DT started.

At 9:43 we planned DT today at 11:30?

That is not planning, that is “Whoops, this is gonna break and we need more time.”

I would have edited my posts, but someone liked so I do not want to change it. Sorry for adding posts but I do want to say this too.

At least CCP are still telling us and being honest about the extensions of downtimes, this is appreciated, thank you guys. Even this late it can be really useful to know.

CCP needs to chill out with the “updates” almost every day I log in I need to download 200- 600 mb. sometimes more because you keep having to fix your mistakes. please stop eating my data, please make sure your releases are complete, I’ve noticed that since you removed the test server more and more bugs are slipping through and the release quality has gone way down. pull up your socks and give us the quality we pay for, not what you think is passable.

The updates arent always game related but related to other parts of the game that we dont see

What other programs are you saying CCP is installing on my computer under the pretense of it being part of the game?

if any changes are made to a game file, the launcher will redownload that entire file

who cares? what do you think it is? 2006? even a gb is a trivial amount of data.

You havent noticed anything about bugs. users did generally did not file bug reports on singularity and virtually none were found there.

Apparently it is more like 1970.

obviously I care, I play using my data with my phone i only have 120 gb. a month, they need to stop releasing updates every other day 1 gb isn’t a trivial amount of data for me. also i have noticed MANY bugs lately and obviously you’re unaware that there was a bug hunting unit that was active on the test servers that and was a branch of the ISD, like i said they got rid of the test server and now there are ui glitches and bugs every were and book mark bugs at suns. also don’t come in here and start being a Negative Nancy. most recent bug, “show desktop” button no longer works with fixed window clients, very annoying!

It looks as if Negative Nancy was with us from the beginning!

You don’t care, because you weren’t aware that the publicly accessible test server revealed nearly zero bugs discovered by players. linking a source from 15 years ago is absolutely laughable, it is nearly inconceivable that any of those people are still around, and it doesn’t support your soap box narrative that internal testing isn’t being done. your internet connection problems are your choice and your problems, not everyone else who would otherwise have to suffer with worse servicing procedures for your sake.
