What would be a rational explanation why the prices tanked, being cheaper than the 602 and the 601 downgrades!?

No matter how many spreadsheets you crunch eve is not a real market simulator 
and real market concepts are vaguely applicable.
If people are glue sniffers, than yes paying more for a worse product when a better one is available cheaper, makes sense.
I was assuming that there maybe is some obscure LP store that sells the 603 for way fewer loyalty points.

Largely incorrect, at least in this regard.
You seem to just be looking at price. The 602 has moved about 340 something units in the last year in The Forge, which is to say that, for all practical purposes, it essentially isn’t traded. Items that do not trade in any appreciable volume commonly have different prices than you would expect and wide variances between buy and sell prices.
The 603, for contrast, has traded around 28,842 units in the same time period, though some of this is driven by the fact that it was in an event loot pool in July, again, also plainly visible on the volume bars.
Glue sniffers are, indeed, everywhere; we do agree on that!
Now, if you would like to see a far more interesting version of this, which of these three identical (but for price) modules would you guess has traded the highest volume over the last year?
Hint: It isn’t the cheap one.

ISK and LP Costs of implants are (mostly, if not fully) the same for all the variations of -x01, -x02, -x03, -x04, -x05, -x06. What different is the demand of them - high demand of a particular implant will give incentive for players to buy them from LP Stores and sell on market (not necessarily to buy order).

But Core doesn’t sound as cool as Centus or Corpus
Core actually trades the medium amount. Corpus trades the least, Centus the most.
I’ve come to refer to this as the “Eve Workbench Effect”.
The Centus and Corpus appear in unified nergal burner builds, with the Centus one in the commonly linked Hateless build. The Core one does not.

That particular implant, along with a few others, come from missions. There are particular missions that will drop implants as rewards and the SH-603 is one that is dropped significantly in lower level missions and so people tend to just dump it to buy orders on market. Knowing where to source items and why prices are the way they are is a dying art in Eve it seems.
