Corp indy jobs once you have left the corp

If I have started indy jobs on BPs that were owned by the corp, can I complete them if I leave the corp?

If no, can someone still in the corp complete them?

(Surely I can still complete them or else the corp could troll me and not complete my jobs forever and so my indy slots would be perma tied up)

Grok said this:

In EVE Online, the ability to complete industry jobs using corporation-owned blueprints (BPs) after leaving the corporation depends on specific mechanics and roles. Here’s a detailed breakdown based on the available information:

Can You Complete Industry Jobs After Leaving the Corporation?

No, you cannot complete (deliver) industry jobs that you started using corporation-owned blueprints if you leave the corporation. Here’s why:

  • Industry jobs tied to corporation-owned BPs are managed through the corporation’s infrastructure, such as corporation hangars and roles. When you leave the corporation, you lose access to the corporation’s assets, including the ability to interact with those blueprints or the jobs associated with them.

  • Specifically, delivering a completed job requires the “Factory Manager” role and appropriate hangar access (e.g., “Take” access to the hangar where materials or outputs are stored). Once you leave the corporation, you no longer have these roles or access, rendering you unable to deliver the job.

  • The industry job remains tied to the corporation’s assets, and the game mechanics do not allow former members to interact with these jobs after leaving.

Can Someone Still in the Corporation Complete Them?

Yes, someone still in the corporation can complete (deliver) the industry jobs you started, provided they have the appropriate roles and access:

  • A corporation member with the “Factory Manager” role can manage, deliver, or cancel corporation jobs, including those installed by other members, as long as they have the necessary hangar access (e.g., “Take” access for materials or output locations).

  • The corporation’s CEO or Directors can also deliver these jobs, as they typically have full access to corporation hangars and can manage all corporation jobs without needing additional roles.

  • The completed job’s output (e.g., manufactured items, researched BPs, or blueprint copies) will be delivered to the designated corporation hangar, not to your personal hangar, since the job was started using corporation assets.

So someone, in theory, can start ten corp jobs, then leave the corp, then noone left in the corp ever delivers them. So then the person that left has all their slots tied up forever. That is flawed.

As your AI response isn’t citing sources I have no idea how much of the answer is made up on the spot.

But a quick search shows that at least in 2010 a similar question was asked and answered about corp research jobs:

As I rarely do industry and have no experience with this situation myself I do not know if anything changed in the mean time.

But if we assume this logic didn’t change then indeed someone else in the corp has to deliver the job. And if they don’t, then the jobs would be stuck for the person who started it (and left the corp).

If you find yourself in this situation you could ask support to fix it.
