Counterplays to Ganking

Fixed it for you!

And local if you have it.

Ah. Good to see this conversation is still as…. Productive…. As ever.

Gankers creating content.

Anti-gankers being toxic and whining on the forums instead playing the game.

Miners as uneducated as ever concerning high sec mechanics, even though they were the ones that cried for it.

Good times.

Would you like some whipped cream with that? I feel safer already

The only 100% guaranteed counterplay to ganking is to convince CCP to remove ganking from the game.

Counter was just to stay out in the belt and tank the gank

Tank the Gank

Nah. Just never undock. Then you can spend your entire game invincible and protected by an infinite tank NPC station. And you can proudly come on the forums and brag about how nobody can gank you…and that Ship Spinning is the ultimate form of PvP combat and you’ve won EVE.

Nice kills!

But did you counter the gank? It seems like the cargo-expanded Nomad still got destroyed despite your efforts. Did you counter them, or was it more like a ‘killmail whoring’ that you did?

Not that I have anything against the latter, I too do it often in other situations, but it doesn’t feel like you were an effective counter to the gank. Once they engaged the Nomad those Taloses would’ve died to CONCORD anyway.

How many Skybreakers would be needed to actually counter the gank?

im sure the losses were more than the loot drops value.. that group had been avoiding me for 3 days.

the whole point of what i did was… to get around them losing ships only to concord. just use a specialized ship to get hits on as many ships as possible to get them lost to pvp instead of pve. most ships you might get a 2-3 hits.. but edencom? you get as many as 10 per shot.

click 5 ships or pods… nearest… and work your way to the farest.. then after 1st shot.. shoot the one farest away.. then do any of the three middle range.. works on pods to

I think it’s a nice trick to get their deaths recorded as PvP kills, but I’m not sure they mind.

They killed their target, so the mission was a success. Those Taloses would’ve died anyway.

Now if you manage to kill or disable some Taloses so that the target survives it would really impact them.

You only get a PvP kill off a Concording if you get the final shot. So you need a fast cycle time turret.

Is it?

As far as I know you just have to be supporting on the kill for it to be a PvP kill. CONCORD can do the last hit.

Unless you are the only aggressor or the pilot who does most damage if more than one aggressor shares the kill.

Doesn’t bother me at all, the ships were going to die anyway.

It actually makes ganking easier because when his skybreaker kills my pods it allows me to instantly pull all the CONCORD away from the gate without having to go through all the hassle of docking, restocking and reshipping.

As long as you do 0 damage, you can roleplay like a champ.
