Daily rewards reduced

It seems to be their goal. Either that or they have a lousy advisor.
My Omega is finished this month. I am not renewing my subscription, not until CCP does a 180 and starts drastically improving.

Because i would pay for that, add it to the NES store please CCP

Not a chance. You shouldn’t have said anything. Now that I know that it bugs you, I will redouble the “shitposting” just to bug you :kissing_heart:

It’s another in CCP’s endless series of “which cheapass psych ploy can we use this quarter to get the little monkeys to push the buttons more often”?

Sadly, even when they come up with a decent idea, they end up shooting themselves in the foot shortly after. The 8-tasks-you-choose version was decent, I encountered multiple people trying out or asking about new activities (“How do I complete task X?” etc.). And from what I saw the ‘doubles’ made it more likely those tasks would get done even after the daily goal was completed, especially by newer players. More marks, more ISK.

Probably someone at CCP freaked out because they saw how much ISK and Evermarks were being given away ‘free’. So rather that thinking “Hey great people are engaging with the game!” they shifted to “Man, people really like daily tasks, we need to turn it into a time and mark sink!”.

Oh well. Pretty sure one of the C’s in CCP stands for ‘Clueless’.

And worst of all: No communication at all about this. There was no poll, no survey, nothing where people could give CCP actual player insights. This is a pure marketing and economics decision to worsen the gameplay experience of those who use this feature regularly. Probably only for CCP to revert it in a short while to appear to the players as the sparkling savior on the shining horse. Toxic mindgames like nothing else.

Yes, no communications about this. I have opened a ticket as this is clearly an unintended bug.

The issue I have is that you cannot do one thing. If your primary playstyle is shooting NPCs you can’t complete the daily by just doing that (50LP+25kills). Now you’d have to scan, mine or PvP/faction warfare. If you are into exploration, you can’t just do that. They can no longer claim it’s just about making sure people are playing the game. It’s clearly intended to be a chore now. 2500 EM is more than you can get even if you did all four (2000 EMs). So people are going to run out of their stockpile if they just do one and EM the other.

If they just want to take a piss on people it would make more sense to keep the 8, but make the duplicates require twice the work. So instead of scan 5 and get 2-for-1, you need to scan 10 total and each “scan 5 cosmic signatures” would require their own 5 sigs.

This is just a way to deplete Evermarks because the majority of people don’t use them for anything. They are effectively worthless to the general population and CCP is trying to artificially give them value. Yet, instead of giving us SKINs or the boosters of old as part of the reward loop, they continue giving effectively nothing. Their moto has become, “Do more for less reward”. Let the corporations who want EMs do the missions to get them. Same for all this SKINr nonsense. That’s for the whales. I’m not paying isk for plex or buying plex with real money to deal with that nonsense when I’m already paying a subscription.

WAI, not a bug. It’s in the launcher today, just not mentioned prior to the change.

It’s clearly an intended bug.

That’s why I quit doing them immediately. I’m not letting myself be led by the nose to train and buy all the modules/ships and spend isk and buy PLEX for their nonsense, and for what? Some SP?? PeuhLEASE!
I have way more fun dodging NPCs and other players in my Venture than trying to jump through hoops for some miserable SP.

Charging players Evermarks to complete your daily…Sounds like an Absolute Scam.

This will last exactly as long as it takes for players to run out of Evermarks and stop participating. So not long at all.

Eight options will be quietly reintroduced sooner than later, in my opinion.

Only CCP can come up with dumb crap like “Less Choice is more flexibility”. :joy:

For me, this is pure CCP’s garbage… But I’m getting used to it. Not the first and, surely, not the last.

Reducing the number of tasks from 8 to 4 doesn’t even make sense logically. If you want to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed, just limit the tasks to 4 types and have 2 of each available every day. Basically non-changing tasks every day. 1 type for exploration, one for PVP, one for industry, one for PVE. This way, everyone has full flexibility and easy attainability of the 2 goals for the SP reward by doing what they like to do the most.

The way it is now, everyone has much less flexibility, has to do things they do not want to or cannot participate in, and the only choice they have is to not run the ADG or grind a frustrating chore. Neither makes for a positive, encouraging gameplay experience. It is yet again incredible how CCP can screw up player retention and player encouragement so badly.

At this point, to think that they do not do it on purpose would be an insult to idiots.

I think their argument is about what course to take to best ruin the game.

I hate the constant change in this regard. First the daily login gone. Now the AIR program reduced so you can not do it anymore without also getting into Paragon missions. If you don’t want to give people daily incentives, just don’t provide such stuff instead of making it always more complex or impossible to get to it.
