Deleting posts, not threads

Thank you ISD for promptly reacting to the reports about the inappropriate language and behavior on the part of a fellow poster on my thread here: Good morning everyone

However, I don’t think closing the entire thread down when rules are violated should be the course of action, if this is the norm then anyone who disagrees is incentivized to break the rules hoping to get the thread closed if they disagree with the message.

Wouldn’t it be better to delete the offending post in question and punish the poster if behavior is not changed? I think this would be a better way of dealing with toxic posters rather than continuously needing to repost or post new threads because they keep getting closed due to toxicity.

The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. Occasionally there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Forum users are expected to courteous when disagreeing with others.
