+1 launcher than a t1 drake with the same damage bonus (except its omni, not kin lock) and you have a utility high for link/neut. Itll have more damage and better application than t1. Care to explain how itll be worse?
MJD oracles maybe after these changes?
What about apocs? I know theyre more expensive (though t1 BS insurance is really good), but youd get a good tank and could hit out to those ranges easily (esp with lock range buff). Feroxes are big sig targets, so tracking shouldnt be a huge issue.
the lost shield resistance. more dmg vs dying faster. =w=
thats the worse thing. i am not a PvPler so i dont care about neut stuff
I just said, the Harbinger and Absolution could use an optimal bonus.
Yeah but thatâs what I said, itâs a battleship. Hence my emphasis on the Harbinger and medium beams.
Absolution needs a massive cap buff that thing can cap itself out without any help from enemy neutâs xD
About ferox fleetâs, has anyone tried 100mn Hacâs against them? Iâm sure rails canât track that â â â â . (forgive my ignorance of blob warefare iâm a small gang pilot)
Shhhhhush!!!111eleven
They are supposed to figure this out by themselvesâŚ
You can fit links in that slot, which give shield resistance or increase shield booster effectiveness.
Harb already has one, its just minor. Abso could use it though (or a tracking bonus).
Even with them, idk if you could project damage like a ferox though.
Edit: looks like a harb using aurora with 2 tracking computers using optimal scripts, dual heat sink can do 350dps at 87km. About 65k EHP.
elitatwo, re-read what I said, or:
At present: Hyperion 75km || everything else ~90km
Post-patch: Hyperion 90km || everything else ~108km
You understand?
MJD Oracles? No. ABCs get a lot of dps out of those big guns, but pay for it in tank.
As for Apocs⌠with the range bonuses coming, Apocs might be a thing. But theyâre not a thing for a battlecruiser comp.
100mn HACs: When you absolutely, positively, want to get bombed because you canât turn.
Thatâs when you have a good inti pilot flying ahead in the direction of align so you can insta warp out if need be, and a good command desi to warp off the bubbles from your fleet if need be.
And when you turn 2-3 degrees to maneuver, your interceptor has to make a pretty large adjustment. Believe me, that whole âweâll just use an interceptorâ thing? Not all that effective. Enemy FC just probes down your inty and warps his fleet to get ahead of you.
Yeah, oracle tank looks to be half of ferox.
Harb with aurora looks to be similar, but still about 5k less tank.
As far as battleships go, theyre the counter to bcâs. To understand what youre looking for, are you looking for a BC to counter the ferox? Or looking for a way to counter the ferox, but do it in a price range comparable to the ferox?
You can fit your inti with eccm to make it un-probable as well, but yea the 2-3 degree thing can be tricky with those super slow aligns, whole fleet would have to be on point or some will get left behind and die to bombs.
Iâm saying that if people want to complain about nullsec groups âthinking narrowlyâ, then there need to be alternatives to the Ferox that can do the job as well as the Ferox with similar skill/isk investment.
So itâs not a counter thatâs needed, but a competitor.
Good luck with that against the FCâs virtue-prober CovOps.
Maybe weapons themselves need to be adjusted instead of the shipâs, rails are in a really good place right now, beamâs donât compare and arties are great for alpha pretty bad for everything else.
Gosh, itâs almost like Iâve been saying that instead of making changes here and there in isolation, everything needs to be taken together as a giant jigsaw puzzle to make sure interactions and cascading effects are understood.
