You should try using Photoshop Enhance and tone the colors down a bit.

Was the time limit 25 february inclusive? I sent the mail with my work at around 10pm eve time on 25th.

I’d assume any time on the 25th, GMT, would count just fine~

The Dev Blog states that the contest runs from February 1st through to February 25th. Doesn’t specify any particular time zone.
I sent my submissions in on the 25th, Sunday morning between 5 to 7 am PST.

So where is this ‘Community News Item’ located and will there be a picture of the 1st place Mouse Mat included?

OK, would have been nice if there was a link to the ‘Community News’ posted in this thread but I found it anyway.
Personally I don’t think the winning submissions consist of imagery that resonates with the Capsuleer Community or captures their imagination.
Be that as it may, in the spirit of good sportsmanship I say congratulations to them all.
