Dev Posts

(Korban Reed) #1

In the last forum there was a tab for Dev posts. I found, and I’m sure others did that this was a great way to keep up with any changing news.

I may have missed it, but could you add this feature into these forums too?

(CCP Logibro) #2

I think you’re looking for this page?

It’s a little more hidden, but we can look at options for exposing it a bit more.

(Tribal Trogdor) #3

A little more hidden? You linked it and I still cant even figure out how to get to it otherwise XD

Edit: Nvm I found it :stuck_out_tongue:

(Korban Reed) #4

That would be it! Yeah bit hidden, but now I know where it is.

(Tipa Riot) #5

Dare to share how?

(Korban Reed) #6

Go to those three lines at the top right -> Groups -> Developers of CCP -> Activity Tab

(Tribal Trogdor) #7

Top right, the three lines next to your picture and go to the groups section and pick the CCP dev group

(Steve Ronuken) #8

also useful for CSM member posts

(Korban Reed) #9

Jump to next DEV/CSM/ISD would be nice too!

(CCP Avalon) #10

It would be nice, but we explored the option and won’t be able to offer it again anytime soon. Maybe one day!

Instead if you’re looking for replies from a specific dev in a topic, you can click their portrait in the bar at the bottom of the OP and filter to their responses in the button provided there.

Now if only I could filter out the non-english posts in the activity feed of the developer group … is that possible?

(CCP Avalon) #12

To my knowledge, that feed is an all-or-nothing.

Two possible alternatives:

  • The “that’s a lot of work” option
  • You can get the feed-per-dev (ex. Logibro’s feed)
  • Skip the devs that regularly post in non-English categories
  • The “slim chance, but might not work” option
  • I’m not 100% certain it’d work, but you could try muting the non-english categories in your preferences (or by visiting the non-english categories and changing your notification level to mute).

It’s not what you asked for, but again it’s something.

(Cassiel Seraphim) #13

No, tried muting them … doesn’t change anything, I still see everything, including muted categories in the activity feed –

(CCP Avalon) #14

Yeah, then as I thought - it’s an all or nothing deal :fedo: :aura:

(Cassiel Seraphim) #15

I even tried removing announcements and dev blogs from the watching first posts … hoping beyond hope it might do something, but it didn’t. The darn :fedo: just gobble it all up, indiscriminately, but that’s why we love them!

(CCP Leeloo) #16

Did you try muting specific DEVs? It might work. You can test it on me

(Tipa Riot) #17

Can you link a screenshot please? I’m not able to find the button.

(CCP Avalon) #18

Certainly. Red arrows are complimentary. :aura:

You can also click the portrait of the post, and find the filter button there. :fedo:

(Tipa Riot) #19

Thanks! Now it’s clear, not sure how I overlooked this.

EDIT: yeah, I clicked on a dev with only one post … then the filter option is hidden.
