CCP shouldn’t be trying to tell people what their attitudes should be. Deal with what is, and let players figure out what they want.

If you chase a goal too hard, you just chase out people for whom your goal is not their goal.

@CCP_Lebowski and/or @CCP_Fozzie will the neutral logi be able to work around a CONCORD response using the Duel mechanic?

Fair points, Rome was not built in a day. As for the Fortizar in Arida it is still hisec and it does work both ways.

They are not, in effect the basic aspect of Eve is that you have to defend yourself, the change to making it only possible to war dec someone if they have a structure watered that down a bit. But it is still the ethos of Eve, whether you like it or not.

Having a structure requires you to defend it.

I just noted some of your points which another player replied to, good points and I understand your point of view. I was hoping to ally in and help others, but instead I will have my two characters who will assist in war decs become very nomadic and have a truly massive corp list.


Anyway I am happy with it overall even if my preference would have been to have the ability to rep as an ally in a war.

It happens all the time in highsec when fighting over an objective like a structure, do you even play the game?? Or are you just speculating?

Oh okay I see now that Goons and Goon pets have got involved in hisec that the bugs that existed for years are being dealt with. What a crazy random happenstance.

Is CCP also going to fix the bug where dissolving the alliance that owns a structure creates a war free period for the corp that owns a structure? You know the bug that was notably used by Goon pets to protect their keepstar?

Also why do the new neutral logi rules favour one big corp/alliance over a fleet composed of non-alliance corps or of multiple alliances? This game is already so much about blobbing and CCP are once again giving the blob a hard advantage. And don’t give me the excuse about wardec gate campers using neutral logi because they are irrelevant and will still stomp noobs without neutral logi.

shurg I just see it as if you want to help these people, you need to join their corp, alliance, or join the war as an additional defender.

It removes logi form highsec almost entirely, while leaving it in areas like ls ns and wh. Because cutting out an entire mechanic in one section of space is a good idea right, /sarcasm.

I agree neutral logi is annoying, but instead of crying about it like a helpless little mongoloid, i instead trained a falcon alt… problem solved gor 99.9% of my highsec engagements. CCP is killing diversity in hs

Also, if you read some of the responses below that one, then you’d notice that I acknowledge that I read the devblog wrong. I just wrote what I thought at the moment, but Tipa Riot corrected me. All was fine.

You mean you listened to a bunch of carebear’s on how you could change the war system to better protect them.

Other then lower dec fee’s I see zero changes that improve mercenary game play, no reason to encourage hunting over pipe/hub camping and on top of it all you have now made high sec a numbers game where large entities can stop smaller ones from engaging in the mechanics.

TIL that it is impossible to fly logi while actually being in the corp or alliance your flying with, wow high sec really is a strange place

I’m surprised to see that, so far, on a controversial topic, the EVE forums are winning the posting war vs Reddit: at this time ~160 posts here vs ~120 posts in a player-created reddit thread. (If I add in a side thread about neutral logi, reddit ties the EVE forums post count.)

Then you should re-read CCP Lebowski’s responses in this thread.

And the WAR HQ will be vunerable as long as the war is active I assume?

Being in the same corp doesnt prevent you from being killed for using logi against suspects, or on suspects. The mechanic isnt just built for wardeccs, tfw some one cant even look past their own nose

Considering we haven’t had a direct and clear response from CCP to questions such as the one I previously asked and ones similar to them I’m going to go ahead and assume Logi in general is no longer a thing in Highsec. We are also seeing people complain about their moon ores getting stolen with suggestions of a suspect flag being implemented to prevent this, if you want to claim a moon and own it without people moving in to steal the ore then move to nullsec and put in effort to defend that space. If they are not going to do simple things like bumping a thief off they sure as ■■■■ aren’t going to engage someone that goes suspect. With this path we are heading down why not just remove PvP from highsec in general?

you can use logi on a suspect if you are in the same corp as them
try to actually read the dev blog

Cool so now i have to go around and declare war on every suspect i want to engage, even ones stealing loot from my wrecks i kill, WHAT AN INTERESTING MECHANIC

You go around repairing people who steal your loot?
