Voting ends at 11:00 UTC on October 24… All Omega Capsuleers with accounts that have been active for at least 60 days are eligible to vote.
Every account that votes will be awarded with a SKIN for the Council Diplomatic Shuttle - the SARO ‘Black Troop’ SKIN. The SKIN will be available for redemption in the NES after the election is over.
So yeah, I voted…

The original need for it is pretty much gone because what went from “Some Devs are super friendly with some player groups which isn’t right, we should be able to verify this won’t be the case in the future” turned into “some of our main people in the coalition became devs and I’m sure that won’t cause concerns at all”.
Beyond that the whole idea of “I have certain plans and ideas, if you like them vote for me” doesn’t really work, most of these never get done what they promised or tried to rally for. Other than the bloc lobbying and insider trading of course.
As ways. Do your own research into the people. Don’t always flat out trust naysayers. Take everything with a grain of salt. Vote according with what you believe is best for the game. And as always, vote for the change you wanna see for the longevity of the game.
Yes, just like RL politics candidates are likely unable to fulfil their promises most of the time. But it’s still important to pick and vote for the right people. Voting is a right and only becomes more meaningful when more people exercise it.
If you don’t like CSMs to be manipulated by big blocs then just vote for any independent candidate focusing on general issues.
I would have top voted for someone who refuses to run again, so I’ll have to pick another, newer victim for this thankless task, and some other usual suspects who have had my support like… you know who you are.
Yes, voted. Of course. It’s part of helping to carry this game through its 3rd decade viably
To whoever wins: courage, endurance, and receptiveness on the other end.
I did, thanks to Geo Eclipse Oksaras who pointed me to the vote window yesterday.
There were too many choices and too many candidates to vote in so I just chose 3 and called it a day.
100% this. When I ran last year I kept getting asked “what big bloc is backing you?” “Do you have any backing from null?”
Like no I’m running as a hs representative and independent and I don’t support the massive nul bocks running the game.
CSM is just another way for big blocs to influence the game, but its worse because it’s at the development level.
It’s been nothing but SSDD over and over and over and over. Same groups, same people, same agendas, with meaningless token members here and there for ‘the little guy’.
The names might even change, but they are just from the same monoliths and follow the same orders.
Just dissolve the CSM. My 15 years in the game have shown me how pointless the entire facade is.
I voted, but man this voting process is atrocious. It’s almost like CCP does not want people to vote. First, you cannot get any information on the candidates FROM the voting page. You have to go to different pages and sift though all sorts of sources. Secondly, you have to manually log in with every account that you want to vote with. But when you switch accounts, you are not logged out of the previous account. Instead, the page tells you that you are logged in to the new account, lets you setup your ballot and then click “vote”, only to now tell you that there was an error and suddenly you are logged back in to the previous account. Then you got to log in again and setup the ballot again. This is ridiculous.
