In addition to the ship skills, make sure to train all the subsystem skills to level 5. That’s very important. For example, if you choose Proteus, train all the Gallente ones to 5.
Is there a starter null sec corp? I read that eve university pulled out of null sec completely. Is eve rookies in null?
I can only suggest that you join a good WH corp. After not needing local for anything, you can go where you want, do what you want to do and thumb your nose at those who land on grid as you warp off. That’s even if they get that close… After that, if you do have local, you can bust the gankers butts for not being red and have a good chat with them as you slide by with a 1.5 bil cargo. Meh. He’s going null…
yes move to nullsec, try something different; but only take and use what you can afford to lose - at the very least if it goes south you still have kit in highsec to do things with.
Also try some npsi roams like F.U.N inc’s
Loki is indeed a strong ship. It’s the only T3C that my alliance is currently using, although I’ve also flown Legions with my blops sig before.
I do really like the Proteus for solo gameplay though, and the Tengu has some great uses too like being a very strong covert sniper or a PvE site runner.
There are multiple corps in null sec that take players new to the game or new to null sec. Mine is one: Brave Newbies Inc. in the Brave Collective alliance. Our Goonswarm allies in the Imperium also have a newbie-friendly corp ‘Karmafleet’.
Pandemic Horde also used to take new players, but I think they aren’t in a position to take new players at the moment as they just imploded and have given up all their space, trying to start anew with just a core group elsewhere temporarily under the wings of the Initiative.
You could also try the other current factions in null, but I’m not sure the Initiative takes new players. Winter Coalition with Fraternity as biggest group will take newer players, but is mostly a Chinese timezone group which can be a mismatch unless you play during that time of the day. And I heard TEST alliance make some noise so it might be they may be trying to return, but for now I think they remain under the Winter Coalition.
Join the ingame recruitment channel and ask them, they’re more than happy to recruit you
Thank you for all the info. I’ve read good things about Brave from multiple reddits.
