Do we have an automatic post signature for our character so we can append it to our every post?
Also, what is the email address for on our forum character preferences? The one ending with “@” “forumsmail eveonline com”
Only if we get a setting to automatically hide all signatures.
Signatures are prohibited by the forum rules. The rules also state that you ought to use your Info card (click on a portrait or the char name here) to show additional information or flavor text/biographies/signature text.

If true, that’s a good rule.
Signatures severely reduce readability of the forums.
I think it’s more about using your name as a sig like, gadget, Mrs epeen and Mike do
I am fine with a “don’t display signatures” option for those that don’t want to see them, also rules on signature content and size.
As for the email address: That’s probably just some Discourse tech necessity for notifications, private messages and that kind of stuff.
The new forums forbids signatures.
(meaning the technical jargon for signature block)

Same can be said about Emoji… or gifs… or videos…
Difference is that a good gif, video or even emojis add to the conversation, where a signature is the same bland piece of text repeatedly breaking up the conversation every time the owner posts.
Except when Gadget does it, as her signature changes depending on the context of the post.

Well, I’ve heard it said that a picture is worth a thousand words… and due to the text limits for posting I can see how that would be helpful… 
We have text limits? 
I never hit that yet, and sometimes I find myself writing entire walls.
I really wish that CCP would reduce the ridiculously large thumb of videolinks so that they don’t literally blot out the sun anymore. I don’t know what drove @CCP_Avalon to introduce these huge thumbs. Or what makes @CCP_Fleebix let them continue to stay with their huge thumbs.
And speaking of signing posts: I find it funny how even ISD and GM sign their posts, like Buldath.

Maybe one in a hundred. I’d rather have them disabled than have to wade through the 99 stupid ones to see the one slightly clever one. Especially in a forum with so much tribalist zombie posting where everyone is repeating the same thing as everyone else.
Find a different angle of attack. This one makes you look like your brain is broken.

I wholeheartedly support the removal of gifs and videos from the forum, but at least they add something to a discussion, unlike your static redundant signature.
I already know who is posting, that’s why we all have these ‘names’ next to our posts.
If nothing else, it gives people who post for the sake of post count something to work themselves into a lather over.
It’s a good thing. I’m actually helping.
