Instead of removing multibox, why not incorporate it in the UI directly, so that at least two ships can be used at the same time, as one, or only this one, and the other follows without firing but giving rep only?
It’s a bold one, with lots of furry things going. How about it???
There are fleetwarps, keep-at-distance to other ships, repair broadcasts and many more functions already in the game. Just what you need to put your ship following and giving reps scenario into action.
How do you think all those multibox fleets actually work? They mostly use the fleet mechanics and what the game already provides for groups of players.
At what point in your EVE life will you start to broaden your knowledge of the mechanics? I think you possibly made a mistake of not joining a capable corp in the beginning of your EVE journey that could have teached you the ins and outs…and basic mechanics…
This is effectively what drone boats are but you mean two actual ships?
Might be a cool idea for a higher sp char with a specialised ships and/or modules to facilitate; like some sort of t2 bs that can slave two t3 destroyers to it? instead of pods a high/midslot has to be used for a module…
Though id prefer more t1 ships tbvh.. like much more…
Yeah, something like that, maybe from Battlecruiser, even T1, up.
As the Odysseus is basically a Bc class, having an attack frig working out your opponents whilst you tank and try to survive a Deathless attack, or heal you. Some new T3 destroyers that only work like pods is a fantastic idea also.
pretty sure some next generation fighters have this sort of thing or at least being tested in the real world right now so its not a step too far to imagine…
