But the problem is identifying a cheater without any false positives. Banning someone who isn’t cheating but is just industrious, is bad.
This is exactly one of the things I want to try and sort out if I get elected, Myself and a lot of people I know (both allies and enemies) have been subject to a not uncommon tactic of mass reports in the past regardless of evidence, most of the time nothing happens but every so often a gung-ho junior GM will pull the trigger and ruin someone’s week
All of the bans as a result from myself go through a fairly rigorous process, it almost always involves multiple days worth of work that supplies as much evidence as possible, from logs and timestamps to videos and pattern analysis, it is definitely not an easy process (and it should never BE an easy process)
My main two concerns that I would like to look at if I am granted the opportunity to talk to the security team behind the NDA is:
1: I suspect and fear that the processes they have in place are either insufficient in detail, and/or not adhered to consistently
2: I fear that the training involved for GMs is lacklustre in this area, which results in the support staff dealing with these reports not understanding the processes, contexts or mechanics involved in the situations that they make judgement calls on
