Empire Standings

On 2026.06.23 I lost 0.404 and 0.381 points in Amarr Empire standings due to firing on Amarr wrecks in a war zone. I fired on the wrecks to try to deny the loot to the enemy. In simulation and RL this is a very proper response. The total loss of 0.785 of Amarr empire standings is an excessive penalty imo (especially when compared to what it takes to gain those standings). It took me a year to gain this and I Iost it in an hour ?!

The mechanics leading to this issue of excessive penalties are not acceptable and should be changed to lower the penalties. If anyone can be blown up by experienced Gankers anytime who then suffer only minor consequence (eg. ganking in HS - how often can a Ganker be caught by somebody with a kill right on the Ganker?) , then the consequences for blowing up something already blown up should be reduced - especially in a war zone.

To be honest, in EVE there are many arcade attributes that exist in EVE and they should be reduced/minimized imo. EVE acting like an arcade game & counter-intuitively does not impress this capsuleer at all.

that was your first mistake, comparing the penalty to RL.. EVE is set in the future, a dystopia. if you are fighting for amarr, and you destroy a wreck, then yes you will get penalized. the wreck isn’t yours to destroy.

Review Imperial Navy Regulations: Section LIII: Subsection 42, Paragraph VII. Only an officially anointed team can salvage a wreck. You denied them the opportunity to perform last rites. You are a heretic and an evildoer.

There could have been survivors in that wreck. The Amarr penalised a murderer, and not enough if you ask me.
