Please Help. In the settings in the eve launcher, I selected “Download" the full Eve game client” however during the download an error would occur stating “An error occurred while downloading the client” upon reaching a certain percent. I already cleared cache and run the launcher in administrator mode.

If you’ve already had the game installed, you shouldn’t have to download the full client… I have that option deselected and have no problem with downloading game updates…
However, you now probably have to manually delete all Eve related files in your computer, look for folders titled Eve and CCP, and then do a full install from the Eve website…
Hopefully then the issue will be resolved…

No, you don’t need to have that option selected if you already have the game installed on your computer…

I don’t have that ticked, but still get the same error when trying to launch the game after the last “update”

This is indeed an issue. My installer could not update the game, so I deleted the entire game and re-installed it. After installing it, I selected to download the entire client, simply because the game works better that way and it locks up and can’t install after a certain percentage exactly like the OP says.
Oh well, time to play something that actually works.
I keep encountering “Error downloading game client.” Goes to copy executables and then back to the error over and over.
Having the same issue myself, was having issues with the game earlier. Station interior wouldnt load, undock was just a black screen. Reinstalled, working now however downloading the full client it downloads 2-300mb, halts then “error downloading client” and loops like that
Ive got this issue too gets to copying executed files 227/227 and then errors and restarts the process to infinite loop. im aware some other people have this as well. Ive send in a bug report through the launcher already.
Ive looked at the log file of the launcher and its failing to download something from ccp servers (receiving 0 bytes while expecting x bytes) and tries it some times, then it restarts.
also having this on a linux system, it’s a fresh install
