EVE-Exchange: live markets, trade finders, industry and more!

Hey everyone!

I’ve been building EVE-Exchange (eve-exchange.com) for many years and finally got off my butt and got to the point where I can share it. EVE-Exchange.com is a site that puts market data, trade finding, hauling, industry and your own characters’ data in one place. Here’s a rundown of what it does.

Market browser

Every item has its own page:

  • Live orders: every buy and sell order in New Eden, filterable by region. Your own orders are highlighted.
  • Jumps: type in your system and each order shows how far away it is, by the shortest route and by the safe high-sec route.
  • One-click actions: set your destination, add a waypoint, or open the market in your game client from the item page! No more copying from a site and pasting into EVE! But there is a copy icon if you want more of a old school feel.
  • Price history: price and volume history for the main hubs, with the spread and 30-day averages.
  • Item details: attributes, fitting, trait bonuses, variations, SKINs, industry details (including what is needed to make it and if you have it somewhere in your assets), and the skills it needs, checked against what your characters have trained.

Trade finder

Filter by cargo space, minimum profit, ISK per m³, maximum spend, ROI and your sales tax.

  • Between locations: any region or system to any other, keeping to high sec only, allowing low sec, or any security.
  • Along a route: tell it where you’re already flying and how far you’ll detour (0–5 jumps). It finds trades on the way, or ones to sell at your destination.
  • To anywhere: start from one station and see the best trades everywhere in New Eden!
  • Saved searches: save searches to your account for quickly checking normal routes.

Hauling manifest

  • Add trades, market orders and industry materials as you browse to make sure you don’t forget to grab/sell something when you’re done that 35 jump run.
  • See total m³, cost and expected profit, with adjustable sales tax.
  • Keep several named manifests with notes, and refresh prices with one click.

Industry

  • Costs: material costs at your ME, facility and rigs.
  • Build tree: every component broken down to raw materials, priced at Jita, with how much you already own.
  • Job tracking: your industry jobs, with live countdowns and a flag when a job is ready to deliver.

Mining

  • Your mining ledger by ore, system and day, with m³ and Jita value.
  • History builds up past the 30 days EVE keeps.

Appraisals and contracts

  • Appraisals: paste a cargo scan, contract or inventory and get Jita buy and sell prices plus the spread per item. Save and share them with a link.
  • Contract browser: courier filters for volume, reward, collateral and pick-up and delivery location. Private structures still show which system they’re in.

Your characters

Link as many characters as you like and choose what each one shares:

  • Wallet: journal, transactions and trading profit by item.
  • Market orders, with notes.
  • Assets by location, valued at Jita.
  • Contracts, with their items (Item Exchange only) and who accepted them.
  • Industry jobs and mining ledger.
  • Skills.

Everything updates automatically. You sign in with EVE’s SSO, pick scopes per character, and can revoke any of them at any time. Revoking deletes that data from the site.

The site is in active development so expect new features, improvements and some things to move around. Feedback, bug reports and feature requests are welcome! Join our chat in game: EVE-Exchange.com or comment here.

It’s kind of funny how all the eve vibeslop apps are basically just one of only 4 or 5 apps.

You’ve got the killboard intelligence/radar app, the industry/market calculator app, the evemon replacement app, the pyfa replacement app, and if I’m being very generous, the All In One Dashboard app that tries to merge the rest of them into one big sloppy mash.

Can one of you please ask the chatbot to make a novel app, at least?

I don’t use those apps so I can’t speak to them but I create what I like. It’s been in the works for 8+ years. I would work on it, then stop, then start again when I got back into EVE, then stop. Rinse and repeat. I’ve had this stuff for years (except for the dashboard, that’s new). Frontend work isn’t my specialty so thats where I mostly lacked and got help with it with AI. Don’t just assume everything new and shiny is vibecoding slop. There are programmers out there creating things still like I am.

First thing i see is some accept or decline,

i choose decline.

I debated if I was going to add that or not to be ‘compliant’ with some privacy silliness around the world and select US states because I don’t need it where I am but decided to get it done and overwith. Your choice to decline. I could remove it and it would have the same effect as if you select accept.
