I’m assuming that you’ve tried it with the Linux-native launcher. You can also try to only go with the Windows version of it all. It should require the least amount of effort to get EVE running. See here:

I have been reading some topics from people still having issues to get EVE running on different distro’s and therfore I thought I would share with you how I got this running.
