Hi,

is there any Way of dowloading or Extracting the EvE Legion Loginscreen Background as Wallpaper?

Thanks in advance

According to this [r/Eve] Login Screen Wallpaper - why is it not available to players? the hide UI keyboard shortcut of control+F9 should work at the character selection screen too.

(Haven’t tested it myself as not going to sign in just for that but the poster of that thread confirmed it to be working.)

Btw with a bit of search this should be the answer to your original question:

Sorry I’m not at my computer. If you search “background(something).png” in resfileindex.txt for SISI you’ll find it.

Edit: res:/ui/texture/classes/characterselection/background.png

Edit: And despite didn’t check it in detail this should be a guide how to extract files from it…

Hide UI did not Work for Me

Second Answer is working in some Way.

  1. If you search “background” in (Path to EVE)\tq\resfileindex.txtresfileindex.txt
  2. Find the entry with “res:/ui/texture/classes/characterselection/background.png”
  3. Copy the String behind it e.G. “f6/f6d026776b11587d_3d75e62bd93cdac7895703d4a466dacb”. You see an “f6” before the String. Thats the folder with the ressource in it.
  4. Look for “(Path to EVE)\ResFiles\f6”
  5. In the Folder Look for the String “f6d026776b11587d_3d75e62bd93cdac7895703d4a466dacb”
  6. Copy File to another Folder
  7. Give the FIle the extension .png e.G. "f6d026776b11587d_3d75e62bd93cdac7895703d4a466dacb*.png**"
  8. Done

Thank you for your Help.
