Kind of lame that marauders are getting nerfed some more. I guess nano Lokis are the new marauders (adjusts skill queue).
DPS is mostly based on total HP, max DPS is only limit for caps
against a 50k HP 80% resist target ( so 250k EHP total) an M pod will deal 50k×1/100 = 0.5k raw DPS which are the same as a 0.5k×100/(100-80) = 2.5k DPS…
In addition to its existing guns.
That’s marauder DPS on a cloaky, webifier resiliant BC.
Of course if there are two such targets, it will deal twice as much DPS from the pod. Even after being killed.
- That can hit +1 targets every few seconds. ,
- up to like 7 targets while the first one is still taking damage ,
- even to targets who have managed to break tackle and warped away, ,
- or even killing them after warping away themselves ,
- while the target can’t overheat hardeners, speed up or pull range against the damage .
What can do is: Dock up or leave the solar system (so much for motivating people to fight). Well, good luck doing one of it anyway in the middle of hostile space.
and even after concord has killed the suicide ganker.

Total HP just rounded off the ship classes since they also depend on exactly which ship.

Shitty throw away T1 non-buffer cruiser. with no EM module or links, compared to hitting in the resist hole: 7000 HP, 0% Resist
Pod DPS: 70 (490)
Weak buffer T1 cruiser, no links, compared to hitting second lowest thermal 55 instead of EM 51. 10000 HP, 55% resist.
Pod DPS: 222 (1554)
Basilisk, T2 fit (actual kill mail), giving it non-augment 3% ship shield links, 16720 HP, low shield resist 70.3 high 89.5%
Low Pod DPS: 421 (2947)
High Pod DPS: 1592 (11147)
Monitor w non-augment 3% ship shield links, 30600 HP, 93.4% resists.
Pod DPS: 4636 (32452)
Heated non-buffer Vargur, 2 T2 omni shield + EM rig, 92000 HP, low resist 78, high 84.
Low Pod DPS: 4182 (29274)
High Pod DPS: 5750 (40250)
Cap (or anything with above 100k HP) w 88% resist:
Pod DPS: 8333 (58,331)
Cap w 92% resist:
Pod DPS: 12500 (87500)
EDIT For frigs / cruisers also have to remember the pod applies constant 100% paper DPS, there is no partial avoidance from distance or tracking once hit.

naked charon : 217k hp, 315k EHP . raw DPS = 1000, actual DPS = 1450.
Since it’s above the threshold it does not scale any more.
in HS in a 20s concord response time it means 75/20 times the DPS, so 5400 DPS.
in a 6s concord response time, it’s 75/6 times the DPS so 18k DPS.
Then add the 800 DPS of the other weapon systems.
Doubt these are going to be cheap enough to replace 7 (bots in) catalysts.
well if we are talking about replacing cats with the Tholos, then the time needs to be changed from 75 sec to 50…
i don’t think anyone will use these to gank, though i could be wrong…

16M the T2 cat with 780 DPS(more with a cheap implant), it depends on the price … and the system they are used in.
in a .7 it’s 10s so 11.6k total DPS, so 14 cats = 224M
fort a S one, it’s 200DPS ×75/10 (from concord response time) ×1.45 (from resists) + other DPS (I guess it’s around 300 , the stream only had the 800 for the M AFAIK)
= 2175+300 = 2475 DPS = 3 cats = 48M (in a .7).

@Uriel_the_Flame Look, many tricks to move stock to Jita requires a buffed up ship ie a Battleship to sneak past Uedama
A battleship can fight back, yet they remove the added shield, etc they just hand over our cargo to the gankers passing though Uedama.

What this will mean then is lower value ships to gank as Battlecruisers, which leads to lower padding on zkill. (we all know how gankers like to pad their boards)

I was just pointing out that this change will lead to using battlecruisers rather than battleships.
This change is to make capsuleers want to skill train into the new ships and the way how the damage over time works it ignores everything other than raw HP that shields with the +100% bonus gave.
This change also seriously effects the passive shield tank for pilots running the strongholds.
It is a horrible change to something that only removes more solo content.

It doesn’t remove the content, it forces capsuleers to engage the content in a different way.
