There’s no way this isn’t AI slop.
Most of it is these days…
Bleak
The way its “written” talking about the author erc. Its ai. I know this cause ive had it help with some things i been working on, as far as helping me write stuff.
Oh well if thon can’t be arsed articulating his own points then I can’t be arsed reading them.
Not even wasting the time to get an AI to distill it for me.
That time is much better spent informing OP that his AI dollops are not getting any consideration as none is due, which I have now completed.
Ah, I see Akkar and Geo have weighed in. ‘AI slop,’ huh? Well, if that’s what they think of well-structured arguments and clear prose, I’ll take it as a compliment! Funny how people jump to conclusions when something doesn’t fit their preconceived notions.
As for ‘talking about the author,’ Geo, you’re right, there was a lot of discussion about the tone and style I wanted for that opening. That’s because I was very particular about how I wanted to frame that counter-argument. It wasn’t just about spitting out words; it was about getting the vibe right, channeling a specific kind of confidence and directness. Every phrase, every turn of argument, was carefully considered and shaped through a lot of back-and-forth to make sure it hit just right.
It’s easy to dismiss something as ‘AI’ when you don’t see the human hand guiding the process, the ideas being refined, the specific nuances being woven in based on years of experience in New Eden. This isn’t some generic output; it’s a very deliberate piece of writing, built to address a very specific set of misconceptions about EVE.
But hey, if the quality is high enough to be mistaken for AI, maybe that just means the argument itself is strong enough to make people uncomfortable. What do you think, does the core point about ganking still stand, regardless of how it was put together?
When the human hand is lazy, dismissal is the only conclusion the human who owns the hand deserves.
Ah, Akkar Kardashev, always a treat to see someone so quick with a judgment. “When the human hand is lazy, dismissal is the only conclusion the human who owns the hand deserves.” Quite the line, isn’t it? I’ll give you that.
But, you know, it makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Whose hand are we really talking about being lazy here? Is it the one that actually sits down, gathers thoughts, and tries to build a coherent argument, piece by piece, to explain a complex game mechanic? Or is it the hand that just types a quick, dismissive jab, without bothering to actually engage with the substance of what’s being said?
See, it’s pretty easy to just wave something away, isn’t it? To call it ‘slop’ or ‘lazy’ without actually addressing the points. But honestly, it takes a bit more effort to truly read something, to really think about it, especially when it challenges what you already believe. It certainly takes more work to put together a thoughtful counter-argument than it does to just throw out a quick insult.
So, here’s the thing: my hand, lazy or not, put out an argument about why ganking is a vital, even essential, part of New Eden. Do you have anything to say about that? Or are we just going to keep playing this game of who can type the quickest dismissal? I’m genuinely curious to hear what you’ve got on the actual topic.
I just love winning!

The problem here is that it’s been done to death, and with careful investigation by way of the search box it may even be possible to find examples of the same argument. Additionally, given that it’s all AI generated, you may even be able to find exqct strings from your diatribe in other people’s comments. I myself have found PHP code generated by ChatGPT later turn up in Stack Overflow comments; ChatGPT was, after all, trained on that dataset.
There is little point arguing in favour of ganking, or indeed against it, in 2025. The issue is settled. Sure, the meta shifts from time to time but the core premise remains.
The only difference between your thread, and those it is derived from, is your lazy hand.
Yeah.
The constant whining, complaining and fearmongering has much more effect - especially on new players - than the ganking itself.
Removed several off topic posts.
And here we are with another one thread of the same thing all over again.. And going nowhere just as fast.
Eventually, as always, leading to the inevitable Flamethrower Purge Party
