Falling Active Player Numbers

I didn’t even realize it was my cake day. Nice.

Whilst I am sympathetic to your plight. what has this got to do with falling player numbers. You appear to be still playing whilst being ganked.

The sandbox just means what one person does can affect another in the same box. Like one or more people playing in a sandbox with the same sand.

What do you think sandbox means?

I took a year and several months off due to the Trig theft of systems and the unnecessary lingering were guns and gunstars that will blap you if you were foolish enough to actually think you could prevent Trig super-nerfs.
Yeah. It was interesting, but I think of it as taking away the eight squares in a row on the bottom of a chess board and gluing 7 of them on the side as another column. Wow! Now isn’t the game of chess so much more interesting.

Honest question. How does one multi box 10 Alpha accounts? Are we talking separate virtual machines running “different” eve software sets?

Are these 6 alphas on separate computers or VM’s?

VMs, containers or separate physical machines. Yes. The client won’t let you launch an alpha if an omega is already logged in, or launch more than one character if an alpha is already in game.

To get around that, you’d need an instance of the client for every alpha or alpha/omega combination that you want to launch.

Still totally against the EULA and fully bannable if anyone does it.

They no longer allow alpha/omega combination logins.

Yeah exactly. You’d need separate instances of the client to do it.

So some kind of traceroute checking might catch them if they are NAT’d behind a single cable modem. I’d think CCP would REALLY hunt botters using Alphas.

Maybe have the local clients look around to see if there are other clients on their subnet and validate with them.

THIS IS WAR!!!
