Falling Active Player Numbers

This theory relies on the current player base to be too addicted to leave the game. Importantly, leave NS completely untouched. It would be fine.

I stopped playing the normal eve as I couldn’t do anything on my own. Then I started playing Eve Echoes, where I liked it much more because it was in my language. I played until I got T8. But I stopped playing with the update that introduced the radars that made everything PVP. And how I enjoyed doing PVE missions. they all became impractical dying all the time to pvp. I tried life in Null sec, but I found it much more boring to be there doing anomalies for many hours to depend on the luck of finding a special one. I will only play again if someday they fix the pve and make it more attractive.

suggestion, make quests and historical quests unfindable again.

huh?

I would really like to know what things you did?
There are so many things in the game I do on my own that I am really curious to find out what kind of niche things you focused on so that there was nothing you could do on your own.

Why are you playing a massive multiplayer game if you want to stop the interaction between players. The unique selling point of EVE is that it is one universe and changing that might result in you playing the game for a month longer until it bores you… but changing that will also result in many other people quitting because of the boredom of separated worlds.

And most of the “active players”, are a single player with 2-10 alts. lol
(I’m one of those people)

The game dynamic changes when three or four players using ISBOXER are link controlling (just check the BOX) tens ships each in a Gank in 0.6 space. How is that fair interaction mechanics? MMOs are suffering from cheating while CCP looks the other way so as not to offend the Gankers. Ganking would be fair if thirty players actually joined together to take down lucrative targets. EVE is changing for the worst. Falling numbers of real players, no real industry, and cheating being ignored.

Are there even thirty players left?

AS a Dirty carebear. I have no problem with three of four people ganking me, a single player, in a 0.6.

There is a lot of whinging about gankers on these forums and yeh don’t go through uedama or mine next to jita solves 99% of these problems

What is an issue for me as a returning player to a game that now has alpha instead of being trial and subscription, is when a single player multiboxing 10 alpha cruisers/destroyers can take out someone in a well fit Mackinaw in a 0.8. That’s not something that sits right imo and that’s a alpha problem not a ganker problem, what is alpha supposed to be, a trial or a hook into omega? Because this is eve, of course alpha gank fleets were going to happen, and there is zero incentive for people to subscribe if they are having fun for free.

idk what a solution would be one alpha account each? Although increasing concord response time to alpha accounts in high sec would be by far the most hilarious option. I would bet isk that it wouldn’t effect any of the usual suspects in Uedema that people whine about though.

According to CCP you’re already not allowed to log in to any other account, when logged into one Alpha clone state account – thus, one is not supposed to multibox with them.

Can you post an example killmail of this?

I’m a beginner… 6 month omega account

Honestly, too hard to make ISK

Gank when mining…
Forget about LS or get killed by old players
Killed when scanning
killed when making any small mistake
Killed by gankers when hauling your stuff…

Too hard to make ISK after weeks of work… to easy to loose billions in few seconds…

Can’t run, can’t hide, can’t defend yourself…no time for any strategy. U see a red light in your scan and you’re dead.

I’m tired… I’m gonna leave

Or just can’t back your words with evidence.

oh don’t be so tedious, you know killboard stuff isn’t allowed on this forum.

Everyone who lives in high sec, and who watches the killboards for where the gankers are, knows the difference between your real pirates, which is 99% of them, and those one or two dickheads who have nothing to do in 0.0, so they fire up the alpha accounts and go find an icebelt or a newbie area to mess with. They create fleet with cloaked main, slide up to a venture and then warp in the 6 alphas who only ever show up on these ganks.

That depends on who you are. The ISDs let most people get away with posting killboard links.

This is a hard game to play solo. Don’t leave, instead join a player corporation and get help when you’re out doing this stuff.

If you are seeing people multiboxing alphas, report them for it.

This.

But probably those ‘multiboxed alphas’ are just multiboxed omegas. You cannot tell if any player is an Alpha clone by their choice of ship, character age or fit. And if one player seems to be multiboxing multiple ships, that an indication that they are most likely in fact Omega characters.

Happy :cake: day by the way, Brisc!
