No, it is a new feature you now have 2 minutes to think why you chose a Golem instead of a Vargur each time you want to align.
It’s also the buff to bastion that some have asked for: that bastion timer is relatively much less of an issue now!

Only if the Vargur comes with auto-artillery to shoot people while I alt tab freely. 
If they are already on it they also could give the marauders the e-war immunity back like marauders should be and were since they exist…It’s NOT ‘better’ as it is now…

The sad part here is that you really believe that it would be so important to me that i actually lie here… Dude this is an irrelevant forum of an irrelevant game and this means that real life always stays ahead of it. But i guess you see this different and have nothing else in life, hm?
