I think we’d all like to see who the worst offenders are by alliance and language. Let the chips fall where they may…
Interesting to note that there’s very few offences being committed by characters over 100 million SP…

I recently got a mail load again for a lot of the Herons, Magnates and Asteros of 1 day old chars (very young chars in general) I report in just my constellation. Satisfying to see all these explo bots get the shaft.

Make it by language only. Nowadays, all alliances have all kinds of languages in their ranks, especially the biggest botting violators.
Nice to see a Ban report again after many months of quietness on that front.
I like the expanded stats. Like how 1/3 of macro bans are for accounts <2 days old, and another 1/3 of macro bans are for accounts 2-7 days old. Less than 10% of macro bans are for characters over a year old, which tells me that either “out of the blue” these players suddenly decided to macro and get caught - or there are a lot of macro players otherwise protected in various alliances.
Those must be the new players CCP is so desperate to get and who need to be protected so much from actual players. ![]()
(Yes, I am fully and intentionally aware that this kind of talk is the exact reason why CCP does not show Bans by Alliance.
)
Again, “language” would be a very telling stat here.
Why is the Moa such a favorite for macro use?
Not quite. CFC has a huge CN population nowadays, so does INIT. From just the language, you cannot deduce the alliance with certainty.
I meant, if like say 95% of offenders are of the same language over and over again… So what you’re saying is that every major alliance basically has their own “gold farming” component? ![]()
My alliance has two such components, we call them ‘divisions’.
Interesting to see that there are no mining ships and no freighters on the list. Which means they either are not botted (seem to be unlikely from my perspective) or the input needed to run their activities is so low (clicks per minute) that you can’t really tell apart an active human from a somewhat randomized macro used for basic tasks.
Having seen mining bots in action (and reported them) this is rather surprising…
It just means they haven’t bern caught. Maybe they’re being sheltered and even encouraged by alliances?
Sure they are sheltered and encouraged by alliances, but I doubt the CCP Banning Team would care much… at least some should have been caught, because in some scenarios it’s just very obvious.
Talking about bots got ganked or for some other reason are no longer in the mining ship but keep warping between station and belt for hours. Impossible to explain that this is a real human.
Or people mining with 15 Barges and all of them switching to the next roid within a single second. You simply can’t possibly switch trhough 15 accounts and re-activate all the mining lasers in such a short time without a macro. And that guy was in my alliance and on the comms when I watched that. I instantly tested him by asking a question on comms and convoing his main char - no reaction. And 5 minutes later he asked what I wanted, so he was clearly afk.
I reported the whole incident, but absolutely nothing happened. But maybe he got a warning and a time-limited ban, only thing I know is that the accounts are not banned as of today. Strange.
I have similar experience with obvious mining botter. Ever since I don’t bother reporting…
It’s been there all year for every month, this is just the first one with this amount of detail.
It’s never been linked in the launcher. There is no Ban dev blog at all on the website down to January.
Yes, as they said in this month’s dev blog, they’ve been doing it on social media. And now they are doing expanded one that is a bit more than the infographic. If you want a nice and easy place to see all of this year’s data though, they’ve been posted in the following thread thanks to @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras Team Security 2026 Bans
Fantastic. That’s CCP’s idea of good communication. They have a launcher that spams you with all kinds of ads and useless info posts, but really interesting stuff like links to their Ban posts on ASocMed are not showing up there. A wonderful communication department practice.
They don’t link to the ASocMed account they use for these posts (or the hashtag link so that you can find it) in the dev blog either.
I absolutely agree. They should focus a bit and have someone who oversees the whole communication process and makes sure that any kind of EVE related info is broadcasted on
first.
And then all the “social media” channels can re-link to their website.
Thanks its been a busy month i didnt see junes yet,
The June numbers feature expanded graphs (instead of the round pie graph were used to), but it honestly raises more questions than answers. I’d like to know who the major abuses are in terms of a) language and b) alliances.
