Hey Capsuleers and Dev Team,
Currently, the overview in EVE Online allows us to display ship classes (e.g., Battleship, Cruiser), but not specific ship hulls (e.g., Vindicator, Vigilant). I’d like to propose a new feature:
Add in the “Overview Settings > Filters > Types Shown” tab, under the Ship category, allow dropdowns per ship class to enable/disable individual ship hulls..
Why this could be useful:
- Quick Identification in Fleets or PvP: Knowing exactly which ship hull is on grid can change how we engage, especially in fast-moving fights.
- Better Target Prioritization: Helps FCs and solo pilots prioritize high-value or dangerous hulls without scrolling up/down over the other same hull classes

Would this be something the broader community finds useful?
I know it’s currently possible to filter the Overview by ship class, but this still requires you to scroll through multiple ships to identify specific hulls. Having the exact hull name instantly visible would significantly improve decision-making—especially in fast-paced engagements where every second counts.
Would love to hear others’ thoughts—whether you’re a fleet commander, solo PvPer, logistics pilot, or explorer. Let’s see if this gains enough traction to warrant dev consideration.
