This is the official thread for registering in “The Face of the Federation” pageant contest. To participate you are required to comply with the following rules before June 26th 00:00 eve time:
Clearly Identify your Character’s name to sign up.
Bloodline or gender are not restricted in any way for participation.
Full body picture (taken directly from ingame character profile). Face Close up (taken directly from ingame).
After providing the original image, you are free to add up to 4x variations of your character visuals using AI enhancements/manipulation and showcase the character’s personality to your preference.
Character must not be enlisted, belong, or have previously worked for any pirate organization such as the Serpentis, Angel Cartel, Guristas, Sansha or Blood Raiders.
Character must not be enlisted as a militia combat pilot or be a declared loyalist for the Caldari State, Amarr Empire or Minmatar Republic.
Character must not have -5.0 or lower security rating at the time of signup as a contestat, remember you must be physically present in Dodixie on June 27th to address the audience.
Place of residence of the Character is of no importance (high-sec, low-sec, null-sec or Wormholes), except if is an inhabitant of Pochven.
Character can use Uniforms, Evening wear or Casual wear of preference.
Any combination of attire, makeup, lighting and hair style is allowed, even with clothes belonging to foreign nations designers, except if they depict a logo of the above-mentioned non-eligible organizations.
Once a judge has reviewed your submission, a confirmation post will be added with your name and added to the list below.

Apparently, anyone who has ever worked with the Angel Cartel, Guristas, Serpentis, Sansha or Blood Raiders is automatically disqualified from representing the Federation.
Which raises an interesting question.
If the Federation believes in freedom, redemption, personal growth, and the right to choose your own future, why are people being judged forever by where they have been rather than by who they are now?
Some of the bravest explorers, pilots, smugglers, rescuers, diplomats, and adventurers in New Eden have backgrounds that polite society would rather not discuss.
The Federation taught that people are more than their past.
So it seems a little strange to celebrate Gallente values while excluding anyone whose life story is actually complicated enough to demonstrate them.
Yes, people can change, grow, and redeem themselves. But part of that redemption is also acknowledging the pain and suffering they may have caused, or the harm connected to the organizations they once served. That pain does not simply vanish because someone has become a better person.
If someone has truly outgrown their past, then they should also be able to understand why holding a title like this could feel, to many former victims and affected communities, like another slap in the face. Both, within and outside the Federation.

The Federation is indeed a society that places great importance in personal and economic freedoms, we also value equality, meaning everyone should be hold in equal measure to one another.
So in the particular case you bring, If any capsuleer still holds positive standings with those organizations considered outlaws, you could say he or she is still regarded as an “associate” for those groups, A business contact, a capsuleer for hire who might be exposed to legal or illegal activities in the best interest of said organizations.
We cannot in good faith present to the audience such an individual as someone who embodies and promotes Federation ideals.
However, If the capsuleer in question has worked to turn that situation around, and have the necessary credentials to prove it, such as enough positive security rating and positive standings with the main Federation entities (such as Federation Navy, Federal Intelligence Office, Federal Administration, etc), then said capsuleer is more than welcomed to re-submit the application form and appeal to the judges criteria for eligibility.
When I first visited the Federation, my eyes were strictly fixed on the bottom line. I was raised under the rigid hierarchies and ancient traditions of the Amarr Empire. To me, the universe was a place of strict duty, cold obedience, and predetermined paths. When I left Amarr space, I wasn’t looking for an ideological awakening; I came to the Federation for the open markets, the booming economy, and the endless hustle. I was a cynical outsider chasing profit.
My turning point came in a crowded mining belt in the Osmeden system. I was piloting a cheap Venture frigate, mining Moissanite alongside dozens of strangers. To me, everyone else in that belt was either a competitor or a potential threat.
Then, a channel flashed open, and a soft, calm voice reached me over the comms. It was a veteran pilot working as a security contractor for the Federation. He didn’t demand a cut of my ore, nor did he lecture me on my apparent incompetence. He simply asked if I needed a fleet boost, offered a brief tour of the Federation, and, over the course of the next week, took me under his wing.
What began as a brief, casual chat slowly evolved into something I never anticipated: a mentorship. I expected him to demand subservience. Instead, he asked about my perspective and goals. My chase for ISK transformed into a series of pleasant encounters and genuine friendships. I stopped seeing the Federation as just a chaotic marketplace and started seeing it as a community built on mutual respect.
I am still a stranger to many of your customs, and your history books are still new to me. But because of a brief chat in a mining belt, and the mentor who showed me the meaning of Gallentean camaraderie, I realized I didn’t just find profit here, I found a place I would like to call home.
Kuruk Arnook was born for FW and used to have a maxed out Gallente skill tree; and only can fly *Gallente ships… but with the new carriers added to the game I no longer have it maxed out. The skill book costs 3.25 billion ISK, and winning the contest would greatly help acquire the missing skill. I was never going to be able to afford a Titan skill book, but thanks to Billy Deniels donating one, I managed to have all Gallente skills at level 5.
Most of my spare ISK goes into handouts for Gallente FW fleets.
