I am thrilled to officially announce the lineup for Federation Day YC128, taking place in Dodixie from 22.06.128 - 27.06.128.
While Federation Day is often a lighthearted affair, this year’s event holds a different tone for many. Troubling times are ahead of us, and the Empires have been seeking more aggressive means of bringing the warfront to their enemy’s front doors. How can we joyfully celebrate the birth of one of the major powers in New Eden when so much is at stake? Maybe the answer lies in the ideals we want to commemorate, in our shared passion to rekindle the fire of hope and purpose, in our cultural responsibility to recall and honor what the Federation charter means to one and all.
It is therefore with great humility that I invite every Capsuleer and Federation citizen to join us in celebrating Federation Day. with fleet events starting on 22.06.128 and culminating on 27.06.128 at the Dodixie Federal Navy Station at 18:00 Eve Standard Time, to connect again with Federation ideals. Enjoy fireworks, festivities and good vibes at our annual celebration!.

1) Gallente Militia hosted Fleets

Further details about ship composition and departure location are to be announced by each organization during the coming weeks.
2) Face of the Federation Pageant contest:
A crowd favorite event of the public, by popular vote the audience selects their favorite (and most attractive) Capsuleer pilots, those embodying the Federation’s ethnic diversity, cultural richness and ideals, these individuals represent the most gorgeous pilots within Federation sovereignty. All contestants must sign up before June 26th 23:59 NEST. Rules explained below.
3) Ship customization and fireworks parade
Submit a ship skin creation of your own, showcase it to the audience during the parade. Rules are explained further below.
4) Federation Trivia
Test your knowledge about the Federation and earn instant cash prizes. Rules are explained further below.
5) Poster design contest
Two categories are to be featured this year. Submission must be posted in this IGS post by the 27th of June. Rules explained below.

The public celebrations officially start on Saturday 27th of June at 18:00 NEST, New Eden Standard Time (18:00 utc) outside Dodixie IX - Moon 20 - Federation Navy Assembly Plant station.
- 18:00 - The master of ceremonies will announce the start of celebrations with a short presentation, words for our sponsors and announcing the Face of the Federation candidates.
- 18:15 - Face of the Federation candidates address the audience.
- 18:30 - Start of the conga fleet formation and fireworks in Dodixie.
- 19:00 - Prizes awarded for SKIN showcase.
- 19:15 - Federation trivia starts.
- 20:00 - Voting process for Face of the Federation comes to an end.
- 20:30 - Event Closure and final message.
On June 28th Winners of the Posters design and Pagent contest will be announced.

Fleet events
A 20x plex prize is awarded to the person recognized as MvP by the fleet commander in each fleet event scheduled, regardless of kills, deaths or victory points. (Subject to confirmation by said event leader).
The Face of the Federation Pageant
This year, inspired by our elected president, there are no separated gender categories, anyone can sign up and participate, be mindful you need to fulfill elegibility conditions. Submit a face closeup picture and full body picture in this Galnet thread before June 26th. As soon as you are confirmed as an eligible pageant contestant, you can announce your participation and allowed to perform tours, interviews, and all sorts of promotional activities of your preference at any location in the eve cluster, with the only requirement that you mention this is a Federation Day pageant event.
Winner and runner ups are decided by popular choice, so votes can be cast for all participants starting the moment they announce their entry. Votes can only be counted if they are directly submitted to the master of ceremony Alain Colcer via EveMail for proper tallying and auditing. Results will be announced on June 29th.
Sponsor judges will also add secret prizes for those contestants that embody the ideals of the federation or show unique traits as pageants.
Prizes are as follows:
- 1bill ISK for the Winner
- 750mill ISK for 1st runner up
- 500mill ISK for 2nd runner up
- 250mill ISK for 3rd runner up
Ship Skin and Fireworks Showcase
Participate in the conga line fleet showcase while piloting your destroyer coated with a custom skin design of your own creation. Only Gallente destroyer ships are allowed for the contest, be it Tech1, Navy or Tech2 hulls. If you wish to submit a SKIN design, use this thread here to review rules and submit your work.
Our judges will award the winners the following prizes:
- 300x PLEX for best design
- 225x PLEX for 2nd best design
- 150x PLEX for 3rd best design
Knowledge Trivia
Win instant cash prizes!, just be on the lookout for our host of ceremonies and prepare your knowledge about the Federation history for some flash questions during the event.
A total pool of 1 bill ISK will be awarded to those Capsuleers who answer trivia questions correctly.
Poster Design
We are seeking talented artists and designers for creations on two particular topics

A recruiting poster aimed to call and incite Capsuleer pilots to enlist and work for the Gallente Federation Militia, any composition of text, logos and imagery is allowed. Using AI assistance is forbidden.

A ship profile and promotional poster showcasing the new and upcoming Algos Navy Issue design, you cannot use AI assisting tools. In particular it is expected the utility and role is properly conveyed in the design submission.

This a player event with a long tradition starting in 2007, it even inspired Fenris Creations to incorporate an event ingame called the Federation Grand Prix in 2019.
