Summary of Report:
This report has been prepared by the Federation Peacekeepers for the Federal Intelligence Office, following the exchange of ‘Atavum’ items with Agent Wedge of the Federal Intelligence Office in the Disier Federal District on the 11th of October YC126/FC241.
Body of Report:
Further to the recovery of Atavum devices by Clockwork Angels (Refer to Captain Quinn Rhodes), following the interception and destruction of the Hrada-Oki Caravan by independent capsuleers, a public broadcast was authorised by both Clockwork Angels and the Federation Peacekeepers in an attempt to deliver examples of such items to the Federal Government. A response was received through the instruction of Agent Wedge to meet in the Aufay System at 15:00 New Eden Standard Time, on the 11th of October YC126/FC241.
A task force of Federal Defence Union pilots was established to support Captain Rhodes and myself, in the event of hostile entities attempting to interdict the handover. Arriving in Aufay, this squadron stood ready to intervene if necessary, whilst Captain Rhodes and myself established communications with Agent Wedge. After verifying their identity, we received instructions to hand over the package via ship-to-ship transfer through jettisoning it into a cargo container. After several failed attempts due to a hot pursuit from a Siege Green flotilla, the package was successfully delivered into the care of Agent Wedge in the system of Colelie.
Regrettably, as you are aware Agent Wedge was intercepted himself, engaged, and subsequently destroyed by the aforementioned Siege Green elements that were in pursuit of ourselves. During the handover, due to the small window of opportunity, the process of abandoning the jettisoned cargo container was not performed and under current CONCORD regulations, this declared Agent Wedge a ‘suspect’, becoming freely engageable by all without retribution from CONCORD rapid response forces. This provided the conditions that led to the destruction of Agent Wedge’s starship, and subsequently the breaching of his capsule.
Further communication was received from Agent Wedge, confirming that thankfully their cloning went without fault. Additionally, it was confirmed that the device was scanned and that all information was retrieved prior to the destruction of Agent Wedge’s starship. We were informed that no further examples were required and have thus retained our stockpile for organisational use. Should further examples of Atavum devices be required by the Federal Government for scientific and research purposes (or any other for that matter), they can be supplied upon request.
As always, we remain at the service of the Federation. Should we be required to render further aid, we stand ready to assist in whatever capacity required.
For Liberty and Justice.
