This is just another ISK sink to devalue the plex for which most people paid hard earned cash.
This is another way for CCP to further rig the economy for “fair” wealth re-distribution. This is anything but “unbridled economic agency”.
@CCP_Swift If you truly support unbridled economy, why dont you come clean and address the hidden attribute (_hidden_attr) on a player’s character sheet, that rigs the economy for non-subscribing characters (people who use PLEX to pay for their accounts) by unfairly modifying chance for:
Loot drops
abyssal muta-plasmid rolls
DeD loot tables
Hypernet auctions
and many other aspects of the game
You can’t fairly rig the game. So stop trying and keep your hands out of the cookie jar.
Can you elaborate on this and provide reliable sources?
Because this sounds like this so called attribute changes the publicly displayed odds for hypernet, among others, which if true could even lead to CCP punished by government regulations or EVE being disallowed in certain countries.
So if that is what you are saying this is a serious matter but without evidence it is simple rumor mongering at best or outright trying to damage CCP’s reputation (defamation or such) at worst, so you might want to address that by providing evidence for your claims.
Tried it today and I does not work everywhere. On a player station in null I can buy PLEX, but I cannot sell them. I get the message to contact the station owner.
I like this change a lot. Hoping for better PLEX prices. But not very optimistic tbh. Why should the hoarders sell the PLEX? It will get worse is my expectations and PLEX prices will rise.
TRading PLEX by contract works as inted you get the PLEX right into the vault after accepting the contract.
How? All they are doing is unifying all the markets into one global one. This moves things away from needing to be in Jita/Perimeter. Bringing the convivence of The Forge market everywhere. This doesn’t add any sort of ISK sink that wasn’t already there.
(Oh and the rest of your post needs some serious proof if you want to accuse CCP of Fraud.)
Unifying the markets but keeping variable tax rates. So people are going to go on a pilgrimage to 0%… aka Peri. No? tbf I am totally open to being wrong.
People paid a lot of RL money for Plex. CCP should stop getting scared of inflation and hire a real economist.
Raise people’s wages along side inflation and you have nothing to be scared about.
Do you do Hypernets ? I do, mostly for lols, and all the time I play as alpha. I have no evidence of odds being rigged against me, at all. Whether it´s 1 in 8 or 1 in 512 - admittedly, I prefer the 1 in 8 games, and do not play the 512 ticket games often enough to form an accurate opinion.
As for loot drops, I only kill rats, and sometimes salvage others’ mission sites. But, again, no evidence of any more or less for an alpha versus for an omega.
Abyssal rolls. Absolute total utter nonsense and codswallop. I do lots of these for my own use, and drones for friends, and the rolls are exactly what you expect - I do not do just one, I work out how many I need to do to get a good roll by chance, then do it. If I get a good roll before my expected number of rolls, I continue because there is a chance I could get two good rolls. It rarely happens that I get two good rolls. But it also rarely happens that I do not get even one good roll.
I love rolling abyssals, especially now we get residue. I wish I hadn´t reprocessed my abyssals from prior to the change.
I have plenty of evidence for me as an alpha player that there is no hidden attribute that affects my game play. Maybe loot drops from rats / missions is affected, as I do not do them enough. But I have no evidence up to now to make me feel there is. And if I felt hypernets and abyssals were rolling less than expected, I would stop doing them.
Got it. You do buy/sell orders. I just buy and sell directly to existing orders 50% of the time (and 95% of the time when it comes to PLEX). So to me and anyone buying/selling at existing orders, PERI is irrelevant, especially for PLEX as they go directly in the vault.
This being said, keep in mind that even in The Forge, Jita beats Perimeter in terms of buy/sell orders by a VERY large margin. People take the Jita convenience tax (it is many people’s home station, they don’t even care jumping one system for a better broker fee).
If a majority of people in Jita don’t care about jumping 1 system for their buy/sell orders, how many people in Amarr/Gallente/Minmatar will care about taking an hour trip to Perimeter for theirs? If anyone goes to The Forge for their current usual business (PLEX or not), they’ll just continue going to whatever station they use to make business in, wheter they prefer Perimeter or Jita. It just won’t change anything.
Again, this change will just make any system in New Eden a hub for PLEX buy and sell orders (assuming a station to sell from in any system). Because the orders are going to be visible/accessible from all of New Eden, and already today, PLEX goes right into the vault (you don’t need to pick it up). The vast majority of people will take the conveniance tax of staying in their system for their PLEX orders.
It won’t change much or anything for Amarr/Dodixie/Hek, since people who do business there will just continue doing business there (wheter it is for PLEX or not), Just with the added benefit that those market hubs now have access to the entirety of New Eden’s customers and sellers when it comes to PLEX specificatly.
I wonder why did you expect that.
It is expected to be available for personal use.
If you buy it for corp, it is a general goods, and general rules apply.
Thank you everyone for taking part in the test for the Global PLEX Market! From your reports and data, our team were able to gather some crucial insights ahead of deployment. We’ll have a update soon on when that will be so you can prepare accordingly.
It is recommended that taxes required for PLEX market transactions be abolished, with only a small handling fee retained as transaction costs. This would increase speculation opportunities, boost PLEX trading volume, enhance liquidity, and compensate for the lack of financial economic gameplay such as stock trading in EVE.
I don’t have exact figures, roughly 60-70% of plex is in the jita area. Speculators artificially inflate the price. The remaining 30% are scattered across the markets of the New Edem. The average player has the opportunity to find a complex there at a very favorable price, rather than paying the price of speculators. You want to give speculators 100%, what’s healthy about that?
seriously? this? you cant even make an app that monitors your accounts? u made one and it worked for a few months now we got to look to the community for help. you have accomplished so much but you cant even make an eve online app.
