I dont like how they propped up the woman on Twitter as if she was solely responsible or played a major part in this discovery.

You probably needed to know who Dr Katie Bouman is and what her contribution to the creation of that image was before making that comment.
“played a major part in this discovery” is a rather modest description for her achievements.

I understand her contribution, which is why I liked her response response a lot more than the media representation of her, describing it as a team effort that no one person was responsible for.

While I agree that female inclusivity when earned is important, I dont like female representation for the sake of propping up women as if they are oppressed or somehow need to be aggressively pushed because they dont get credit.
