Fittings for moon drills

I didnt want to mention it. But i can expand the bingo card thanks to the two of you

  • Its an old game
  • Will only help large groups

thank you

By the way you know what is an old game? Chess. There arent video games as old as that because the industry is still young (and shooting itself in the foot lately) among other things.

Then why don’t you go to a Chess tournament and come up with new ideas to refresh it as you see fit, Bakster?

“The Queen should also get the Knight’s movements, would make the game more interesting!”
“Pawns should be able to walk back too. Why not?”
“Knight jump range is too small, let us jump further too!”
“I like playing white, and I think white bishops should also be able to move one place horizontally”
“I think a Rook should also be able to be promoted”

That’s how you came to the EVE forums too, after all.

They’ll love it!

Make sure you come up with a new idea or two for them too every day.

Chess does not seem to need as much work if any as EVE online

Most players would learn a game before they come with suggestions about things they don’t understand yet.

Imo moon drills among other things should temporarily go to 99% resists instead of becoming invulnerable when they hit structure and maybe structure HP should be increased. The idea is to leave fleet commanders with a choice, stay and DPS marathon or come back later. The former will make structure bashing into more of a siege and the latter i dont even

Come to think about it the current mechanics seem to allow the larger groups to dunk on the little guy because they can yeet around and put structures into hull in no time. Then come back later to finish the job in no time.

If you could fit moondrolls to make killing it take hours of consistent DPS then the large groups would be less inclined to do it outside of their own space. But i could be wrong.

Yes you said the same thing earlier in the thread.

Repeating your suggestion doesn’t make it less of a bad idea. Why do you keep trying this strategy in discussions, Bakster?

You are wrong yes, there are already mechanics in place to help the smaller groups. First being the DPS cap in armor and hull (this makes the attack already a 30 minute ordeal with no resistance from the defender), the second being the timer itself favoring the defender.

Drills dont have damage cap but thats a separate issue if any i think

Correct, drills have no damage cap by design. This is what encourages use of big fleets and big toys against the drills.

The invulnerability of the reinforcement timer is essential for a game with a world-wide playerbase in different timezones.

Metenox Moon Drills are also meant to be for alliances that prefer to fight.

Moondrills at the moment are just a sticky structure that you can use in a throw away manner but i could be wrong. But we are also getting off topic it seems.

The reinforcement timers is a form of welfare that kind of devalues diplomacy but also ruins immersion but off-topic?

Are you using chatgpt to form your ideas or something?

They are not my ideas or anyone elses for that matter and for the record AI is something that can get high grades but at the end of the day its just a bot.

“Not your ideas nor anyone else’s?”

How are these ideas that you spam on the forums created? AI?

i don’t think that AI could come up with some of these insane notions.
This caliber of nonsense requires squishy organic thinking.

The ideas are not mine or anyone elses for that matter, including AI

So how do these ‘ideas’ end up written on the forum by you, Bakster, if they don’t originate anywhere?
