Yep, the Standup Metenox Moon Drill module is automatically equipped in the only high slot those structures have.
Like other undockable Upwell Structures these moon drills cannot be fit with any modules (you cannot dock to fit them anyway!), but they need a mining laser to drill the moon like Athanors/Tataras also have, so they come with one drill automatically equipped in their single slot:
The fact that you see empty slots on zkillboard for the Metenox is a zkillboard issue, not ‘empty slots’ that you need to put modules in.
A fit Metenox moon drill has 0 out of 20000 MW and 0 out of 10000 ft free and 0 out of 1 slots left to fit.

A slot for mining yield increase is only a relevant gameplay choice if there also are alternative choices for that slot.
In the case of Metenox Moon Drills CCP didn’t think it would make much difference for how these drills are placed, it wouldn’t make gameplay of anchoring them more interesting so there are no extra slots.
Try a Venture if you wish to be able to equip a mining yield increase module!
Im learning toward making them compatible with the modules that already exist. Ie. being able to fit a mining laser upgrade, or a reinforced bulkhead or whatever. But it might be better to make standalone modules for it. For example a module that shrunk the vulnerability window, and maybe the mining laser increase module widened it. Seems like there is grounds for good content
