I was scanning down drones just a few days ago so they either reverted that change or this was never true to begin with. Don’t you mean wrecks?
Seriously?! Wow, in that case I completely withdraw that comment, I was totally wrong. I 100% thought it had been removed. 
Don’t think it could have been wrecks. To my knowledge, wrecks have never been combat scannable. They’ll show up on DSCAN, but people have been begging for them to be combat probe-able ever since I started reading the forums.
Wrecks were scannable once, a long time ago. I must have gotten them mixed up in my head with drones like Uriel said.

How would a player that has been gone for years know to look at the agency tab to go mining?
How would a player that has been gone for years know to do a d-scan before warping to a belt in a empty system?
Why would a player use combat probes that wants to mine in high sec?

You complain about it, because it was too hard for you.
The actual crux of the matter, is that you assumed you were powerful enough to deal with it. The reason why you come here, complaining, is because you overestimated yourself or underestimated the opponent. Likely the former!
It really is that simple. Everything else is just huffpuff hot air from you, disguised behind words. Additionally to this, please go and count the amount of people complaining about this, and you will notice that you are not even worth the consideration. Yes, your voice does not matter. Big Whoop.

you could suggest when you enter a system with an fob , another channel opens the same way incursion channel opens . yet even with that warning , people still hop to a belt and shoot npcs , then complain they didn’t know about the “super rats” …
but you did know , and tried them in a ship not fit for killing frigates , which was promptly exploded for you … other players have teamed up , and are farming them . so the npc’s aren’t the problem … being a stubborn miner who won’t move one system ; maybe …

I have first hand experience FOB rats do scram.
I’ve been hit with drifter standings despite never attacking one.
How you may ask:
Well the event for SoCT currently running has resulted in me taking drifter standing hits in certain systems and not others. Bug reports filed and as per usual CCP are sitting in their hands.
There is nothing showing in the logs…

well for sure that does not happen everytime. Last time I tried my dominix happily mjd’d out of the pack.
The first thing you learn in Fac War is that its not the big ships that kill you, but the little ones.
Fit for tracking, fit for dps, fit for range. There is a reason my navy harbs are fit to hit an afterburner fit frigate orbiting at 500m with their HEAVY BEAMS.
Tracking computer, web, 2 target painters (faction is even better, and maximise your skills to increase the sig radius), tracking speed implant (there is an 8% one that is cheap…) and drugs. Much more important than tank. As you now know.
So is today the day you’re quitting video games?

I’m pissed at a poorly balanced game system, not over the loss of a ship. I’ve been playing this game far too long for a BC loss to get me particularly angry. I do however still get annoyed by new game systems that aren’t well implemented, and I’d hope other people are too. CCP aren’t going to bother rebalancing systems that no-one complains about.

We complained long and hard about the poor rewards for Resource Wars. What did CCP do?
Say that “due to poor player take up (because the rewards were crap) we are abandoning that feature”.
FOB’s are in, FOB’s are working as (CCP) intended. Do not expect any changes, no matter how many people complain, they have moved on to the next shiny feature now.

Something very similar happened in case of WiS as well. 
Would you like a pop up warning or something when you enter a belt? “Careful certain belt rats may cause incredible levels of butt-hurt on the forums”. It seems most are fine with a bit of added danger, but as always some people don’t like losing ships and feel the need to cover it up with waaaaah. You learned your lesson and now should be easily able to avoid said rats if that’s your thing. Adapt, overcome and quit blaming your anger on bad mechanics when you really just died to some rats.
