Forums don't allow scrolling in Brave web browser

I’m having to create this in Chrome. When a topic on this forum is viewed in Brave, the scrollbar is missing and scrolling is disabled.

Clicking or dragging the timeline on the right allows snapping to the top of posts, but longer posts can’t be viewed in full due to the lack of scrolling.

I use brave on win10 and have never experienced this issue, i am currently at 100% zoom. My brave shields are up. You may have an extension interfering?

If you link me a specific affected post i can double check that post

For me it’s every post.

Shields down doesn’t fix it. Disabling adblock doesn’t fix it. I don’t have other extensions active.

I don’t have the Eve Forums app installed.

I’d try wiping out all site date for eveonline.com including cache and cookies, i suppose it’s possible you’ve got some broken forum code cached

That seems to partially fix it. (open dev console, rclick’d refresh button, select Empty Cache And Hard Reload).

Now if i ctrl-shift-r, i’m able to scroll. However if I click reply to a thread, then Close to cancel making a reply the scroll goes away until I hard reload again. Something’s still breaking.

Maybe you can try searching the forum software related feedback and troubleshooting forum below.

Someone on Discourse Forum using Brave browser had to disable their TamperMonkey extension and then Eve forums worked. I had to disable AdBlock for Chrome, and now Eve forums works on Brave.

So I’m still having this problem intermittently, but for anyone who finds this: CTRL+SHIFT+R to hard reload the page is the fastest way to temporarily fix it. It always happens again later though. Still not sure what the issue is, but hopefully whatever technical people at CCP are in charge of the forums get a chance to look into it.

This forum software is https://www.discourse.org/ , they may be better suited to handle the bug report
