FW Before and after

The Golden Era of FW

  • Accessible Content: A few years ago, you could easily jump into 20-30 player Caldari Militia fleets right after downtime.

  • Organized Fleets: Fleets used simple, coordinated setups—three tanks holding the points while the rest assigned DPS drones for the 45-minute timer. If you didnt bring something useful (for example a ship smaller than a cruiser) you would get awoxed.

  • Low-Sec Suspense: Even though most captures went smoothly, the constant threat of enemy militias or random roaming pirate gangs (like spider-tanking Dominixes paying a visit) kept the gameplay exciting.

The Decline and Downfall

  • Loss of Interest: Repeated updates over the years have steadily killed off player engagement.

  • The Final Blow: This latest patch will completely ruin FW’s appeal for the average player.

  • A Multiboxer Wasteland: FW is doomed to become just like Pochven—abandoned by real fleets and run exclusively by multiboxers.

Lets discuss or not. Peace.

What I’m getting out of this: multiboxers ruin everything…?

I think they are trying to make FW mainstream content but this update will do the opposite it seems

Are you talking about a recent FW update (live) or a future FW update (Cradle of War)? I did read a few FW posts on Reddit re: some upcoming standings changes and concerns. Is this what you’re referring to?

Beep boop, clanker. Use your brain instead of AI.

Despite being an MMO, EVE Online lacks a group-wide loot distribution system. Rewarding LP as loot and auto-matically dividing it between participants was not a bad solution to this, but soon for the most lucrative FW content, the main rewards are shifting to item drops – a step back for fleets that isnt a multiboxer for the reasons mentioned.

Standings what, what the fck did they change this time … ?

^ i believe they’re changing all fw missions to no longer give negative standings whenever you kill an npc. maybe some other stuff too.

According to googles…Here is exactly how the standings requirements and mechanics have changed:

1. Mandatory Standings Limits

Players whose effective faction standing falls below \(-5.0\) are automatically removed from their FW corporation and alliance. They are also blocked from joining any FW corporation until their standing is raised.

2. Derived Standings Removal

“Derived standings” (where boosting relations with one faction automatically penalizes their enemies) no longer apply in FW. You only gain or lose standing directly with the specific faction you are doing missions or campaigns for.

3. Mission & NPC Penalties

Killing NPCs and structures inside FW missions no longer reduces your faction standings, making it safer to run missions without ruining your faction standing.

4. One-Time Amnesty Reset

To prevent corps from being instantly disbanded, CCP executed a one-time amnesty resetting all FW-enrolled characters with standings below \(-4.5\) directly to \(-4.5\)

How do the devs envision players sharing the reward after it drops from a NPC?

And what if there are 5 Seaguls trying to loot the NPC? Afaik there is a 50% chance the loot gets destroyed every time you kill a seagul who stole it.

Beware placing your trust in “according to Google”…

I mean its not totally correct, but not totally wrong either
